Ive just found out that a group of friends who I worked with got together for a night out. I have 2 small DCs and most of the others don't.I think they just assume I can't go because I've missed stuff in the past but it would have been nice to have been asked esp as we don't see each other at work anymore. AIBU?

Depends how close you were to them I guess?

Also if its a 'work' thing then perhaps they want to talk shop and bitch about stuff so wouldn't think to invite you?

I think it depends really, do all the others going still work together? I wouldn't expect to be invited to work nights out after I'd left, but if others have also now left and they are meeting for a catch-up I would expect an invite.

I guess it depends - are they mates that you visit, visit you, have coffee together etc etc or are they people you worked with, who you got on well with, but only socialised with because of the work connection. I wouldn't expect to be invited on a night out with people I used to work with if that's all they are - people I used to work with. Even if we had a laugh at work, that doesn't make them my friends. iyswim.
