oops - must have been getting distracted by the thought of the rugby players ! yum yum !

So he goes with his mates this week and you look after the kids.
Next week, (or the week after) you go out with your mates and he looks after the kids.
DO NOT take "no" for an answer - just beccause he's male doesn't mean he gets dibs on all the matches, but dh goes out with a "lads only" bunch too. Wierd how in teh past it was OK for girlfriends to come along, but now we're all wives, it's no longer OK at all, and atmosphere has changed completely. But much more fun to go out with the girls these days as a result.

He's just made me feel very guilty for beingwhingy he hardly ever goes out (nor do I)and normally at the weekend does all the housework and he cooks and stuff. Bless him.

I'm wondering if I should take the DDs out or whether it would be very bad to dump them at mothersand have an evening to myself?

Have an evening to yourself. it is essential to "recharge the batteries", makes you a better mother imo (think more patience, less grumpy, ect).
Your OH sounds lovely mostly , i think its perhaps his "mates" that have insisted on the no wives rule ! .
AND its not dumping - its encourageing the grandparent-child bond

EccentricaGallumbits · 05/02/2010 17:18

Or I could take the DDs out with or without mother - maybe cinema or nice eatery?
