AIBU To hate Matt Dawson

He is fucking everywhere!!

He somehow thinks he is a 'foodie' and has a bloody cook book out...and is on the TV waaayyyy too often!! Plus he has a huge forehead!

So AIBU???

No you are not. It's a perfectly normal reaction to person who prematurely quit playing for his country so that he could persue a media career.

I think he's all right, I would trust a proper athlete like him to know about healthy recipes and I might buy the book.

I find him irritating and on the tv far too much. In fact I switch off if he comes on.

He must be a foodie since he did those ads for that frozen fish ready meal stuff

No need to be sorry butadream... I saw him on a show taking about food a while ago and tbh he was taking crap ...agree with starmucks that he is just after a media career..

Last time I saw him was at a supper at his house, he had cooked a fantastic salmon , with barely cooked asparagus and rock salt. Cant be the same.

nope. I dont think he had ever participated in any sport. There was not a muscle in sight.

A career as a rugby player is time limited - and involves a lot of running around in the cold and mud and bleeding quite a bit. Then you leave and become a coach or commentator - which also involves standing around in the cold and mud and bleeding inwardly at least. Or you have a nice cosy career elsewhere - the media is one obvious outlet. I quite like Matt Dawson tbh and if he wants to potter about the tv screen that's ok by me. Don't forget - it may have been Jonny who kicked the winning goal in the world cup but it was Matt who got him the ball...

Ah sorry Northernlurker never watch rugby...I can understand why he would take the celebrity route but I am fed up with seeing his huge forehead about the place..

You're right Molesworth Alex James is actually worse...well more embarassing. Damon goes to China and writes an opera. AJ does popstar to opera star. GRINGE. Just waiting for the at home with the James'family spread in Closer, or such.

I don't think he was too keen on the pink shirt....it certainly was playing against type.

The big forehead - you've got a point there - perhaps it was caused by all those years of ramming it in to other men's backsides in a totally rugged non-sexual way?

After winning the world cup I saw the English rugby team do a walkabout - they were all friendly and signed things except for Dawson who strutted round ignoring people. So based on that five minutes I have disliked him ever since.

Every time I see Matt Dawson on TV he just looks ill to me. He is soooo thin, it can't be right.
