regarding seat belts

driving home today from school the children were shocked to see the car in front of us had children stood up in the back of the car but what annoyed me more is the parents both had seat belts on am I being unreasonable to think this is completely unacceptable

YANBU - see post below re "absolutely furious with MIL". Hope the parents/driver got a ticket for letting their young passengers travel unrestrained.

See this rather a lot round here. Also children and babies sat on their parents laps.

I was so cross at seeing adults all nice and safe with seatbelts on and kids standing up in the back seat of a car in front of me that I took down the licence number and reported it to the police. They said they couldn't do anything becasue they hadn't seen it themselves

yanbu and on the motorway when the kids have £££ car seats but are not strapped in properly.
