to wonder why Amanda Holden gets so much work?

what does she dooooooo ?

I just find her so nauseatingly smug and arrogant.

Why do TV bosses keep giving her programmes?

Why is she ALWAYS in the effing newspapers?

I bet if TV bosses did a poll of the entire country most people would say they don't like her...

Agree. Nauseating and thinks she's good looking when she isn't. And she can't act.

She's not my fave either - just one of those ineffable things. Some people are just very good at getting themselves in the public eye and staying there with very little to support it. Think Jodie Marsh et al.

I don't get the vitriol, she seems as if she has a sense of humour about herself.
I just don't get other women saying 'she isn't all that good looking'
Does that mean she should stay in a cave? Does SHE say she is good looking?
Tell you what, I would swap for her figure in a heartbeat, but then she probs works a lot harder to keep it than I would

ooooh, so glad I am not alone. I can't watch her at all, especially that stand up, arms outstretched condesending clap she does with the fake sincere expression on BGT. Have you seen her weekly article in the back of Fab magazine each week (not that I would buy it, ahem!!) it is ridiculuous how great she thinks she is

I have said to DH a number of times, why is she an authority on who has any talent? Strange choice of judge if you ask me!

I remember her in The Grimleys, does anyone remember that? That comedy set in the 70s? That was really funny but apart from that I don't know what she is famous for, apart from having an affair with Neil Morrissey!

I can't understand the appeal either.

Whining simpering voice, botoxed face and completely bland and vacuous.

I have yet to hear anyone on here or in RL have a good word to say about her.

The reason she gets so much tv is because she's buddies with Mr Powerful himself a la Simon Cowell. That crock of s**t that's on at the moment is co-produced by syco productions.

WHO actually watches the programmes she is in? (Although, I admit to watching the midwife one, where she didn't come across TOO bsdly - still can't stand her though.)

She is very jazz-hands. I'm not a fan, though she did come across quite well in the programme where she trained to be a midwife which almost changed my opinion of her. I never watch Britains Got Talent though so my opinion of her is only from one programme, which probably isn't very fair. I can't watch people with botoxed faces on telly though in general, they make me feel ill.

I agree she is massively promoted by Simon Cowell, same as Chezza Cole. Cat fight to see who gets the X factor gig in America I reckon. Cheryl has a good right hook I believe.

I did laugh at something thesteelfairy said the other day about her:

Someone said (and I'm sure it was someone here) that she's shagged her way to the middle (not even the top).
