at myself. Welled up a bit (but controlled self) when the mother leaves the baby with the mammoth and then drowns. Then totally lost it at the bit where the mammoth sees cave paintings of his family and remembers playing with the baby mammoth etc before his family was brutally slaughtered ...

... and finally, at the bit when they return the baby to its dad I got all teary again.

DS is thankfully oblivious to my lunacy

Me too. Don't watch Up, or Monster's Inc

DorotheaPlenticlew · 01/02/2010 10:35

Haven't seen Up ... we haven't been to the cinema in oh, two years or something! BUt i did hear it was a tear-jerker.

Saw Monsters Inc years ago, and seem to recall it was a bit sad at the end, but have forgotten details. Nobody actually gets slaughtered, though, right?

DS is now walking around on all fours pretending to be a mammoth.

I did embarrass my dd when I took her to see iceage 3 at the cinema. We tried to watch UP at the weekend, but the copy we had been lent is scratched. We saw the half blood prince yesterday, she cried when Dumbledore dies. I didn't [proud emoticon]

My ds used to bawl at Ice Age when he was teensy. At the end, where the baby s reunited with his dad, is the only moving bit in a film that has ever really upset him. He still loves the film though.
