To think if I'm going to pay £5 for delivery, Asda should deliver the stuff

I've got SPD and I'm on crutches though I can barely even walk with them since an extra-loud pelvis crunch this morning.

I had a bad experience whilst shopping with someone getting frustrated with my slowness, etc.

So MN advised me to do some online shopping.

Tesco are crappy at the best of times- the stuff comes with that day's date on it.

So I picked Asda (we only have the two choices around here).

There were 2 substitutes and three unavailable items. They were important things that I actually really needed.

So tomorrow I need to get a taxi to the shop and back to get the things that they didn't provide. Which will cost £7.20.

So I might as well have not ordered it in the first place.

I'm on a mega-whinge tonight, it is one of those nights so I might be unreasonable but they may as well have just rung me and said they can't bloody well provide the stuff and I'd have told them to forget the whole order as it's pointless paying all that delivery for sod all!

This is why I only order from Asda when they send me free delivery vouchers. If you are registered with them, and don't shop very often, they send free delivery vouchers at least once a month.

I do sympathise, but it is one of the downsides of online shopping. I think it says on the site (in tiny writing) ps. we might not have all the stuff, sorry.

Phone the helpline and make a huge fuss. The nice south african on the other end will try to fob you off but if you are pushy and ask to speak to supervisor you can get your delivery charge refunded. Don'yt accept code for free delivery next time as this is not the same. I do it quite a lot - probably have a note on my file as a whinger but it drives me mad when they don't bring stuff and then you have to go anyway not saving the petrol (or taxi) money.
They always leave out the things you reeally need don't they!
Thyanks for leting me whinge with you. Have just done my order and waiting to see what they don't have this week!

Asda forgot all my milk once(about 12 pints), but had charged me, was right at the end of the month, i had no money, and they refused to redeliver it, and also the money would not be refunded back into my bank for up to 6 days! I was fuming! they would not budge, so i had no milk for my toddler and no money to get any! i had spent the last of my money on an asda shop.

I hate Asda online!

the fruit i got was always just a couple of days off the best by date too!
