To be annoyed at how a simple meal for 8 has escalated to a meal for 17

We have a 50% voucher for pizza hut, due to expire today, so, because we are moving we are goin out for tea. I said to my friend why didn't her and her DH and 2 DCs come along, her eldest DS is in DS1's class.

It has now escalated to 17 of us going - her sister, BIL parents and other random people from football who said they fancied going. Because voucher is only valid for 10 people she said "oh 10 of us can sit at one table and7 at another"

DH is livid and not wanting to go now.

oh I thought you were cooking for 17 in which case I was going to say YANBU and suggest you all get pizza.

Then I realised you are all getting pizza anyway, so YABU.

just make sure you are on the table where the voucher is!

I thought that might be the answer. This was our idea to take our friend out for a goodbye meal, using the voucher. Then she rang to say her sister and BIL and her parents were coming. Then at football one of the young brothers of one of the players overheard DS2 talking aobut it, so he kicked off big time so then his mum says "oh we'll come too". Never said "is it ok?". Then a friend of my friends DS is going - we've never met him and he and DS1 don't get on they go to teh same school.

just make sure that you only pay for your part.

You might as well . We were going to offer to pay for our friends share, but am not doing that now, as I am not paying for everyone's.

Or do seperate bills and keep the voucher for your family only

Or you could be really nice and print another one off in OHs' name assuming that it is pizza hut

YANBU- you invited friend and she invited half her family? A "do you mind?" would have been nice, hey?! Def separate bills and keep your mitts on that voucher!
