as "role models" for young girls ? I have just read an interview with them where not one had anything remotely interesting or entertaining to say. On the TV they are the same, totally bland and nothing to say for themselves. I saw one of them on the Buzzcocks and she said almost nothing for the entire show, just laughed endlessly at the mens' jokes and kept playing with her hair.

I know there's not much out there in the way of intelligent role models for young girls but is this really all girls now can apsire to ? To be dollybirds that are just there to stroke mens' egos ?

They gate crashed a party at a club I was at.
THey are duller than dullsville, and not even that pretty. But they really thought they were it, swishing around.

they are the human equivalent of rich tea biscuits.

Some quotes from a recent interview:

Rochelle is obsessed with shoes and shopping. We were in Selfridges for five minutes the other day and she came out with a Burberry mac!

?ve been nicknamed Fierce by the fans. I?m not sure why. I think it?s because of how I look in pictures sometimes [she pulls a sultry face].

?I call her Disney ? she?s just like a character from a Disney movie. But she will always choose the shortest dress

Yawn!

They are utterly depressing. I was going to post something similar to this. In the 80s I felt there were lots of strong women to look up to. Annie lennox was my favorite. It felt as if women were strong and in control and that anything was possible. Now it seems as if we have gone back to women pretending to be dumb and getting their bums and tits out. It really pisses me off. Thank god for Lilly Allen !

Mayorquimby, sadly if you ask most ten year old girls who they admire many of them say The Saturdays amongst other horrors.

They bore the arse off me.

SixtyFootDoll · 31/01/2010 12:41

I have no idea what they sing.
Most of the female artists songs I hear on the radio all sound hte same - baar Florence and the machine!

YANBU fibilouis right, human equivalent of rich tea biscuits (when they've been in an old person's biscuit tin for a while and gone a bit soft). I made the mistake of watching them the other day on some T4 music show, accidentally, and they had nothing to say at all.. what has been the highlight of your year? er.. er.... er... dunno.. this interview?
