Ermmm they have an accent that'll be why. No doesn't make me cringe.

gaelicsheep · 30/01/2010 22:40

Most things that Glaswegians say make me cringe to be honest.

I think you'll find that it's hear.

Remotew · 30/01/2010 22:44

lol, OP you might be able to pronounce it but you cannot spell it. It's Definitely.

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 22:44

Definitely has already been covered. I couldn't resist pointing out the 'here' also.

I'm a Glaswegian and I'm quite sure that I pronounce it as it should be said.

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 22:45

Don't you start Sheep. You've already got a black mark against your name for the Burns bashing.

thelunar66 · 30/01/2010 22:46

here?

definently?

Remotew · 30/01/2010 22:47

Lettheirberock. OK didn't read it the hole thread.

giraffesCantCeilidhDance · 30/01/2010 22:49

Gonnae no dae that

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 22:49

How?

HellBent · 30/01/2010 22:52

Jist gonnae no!

fledtoscotland · 30/01/2010 22:52

I can think of far worse things they say. My personal bugbear is when someone says "I'm away home to my bed". Why are you specifying that its your bed you are going home to? do you normally go to someone else's?

After more than a decade in the fair city, I love the weegies and wouldn't change them!

gaelicsheep · 30/01/2010 22:52

LetThereBeRock - I can't stand the Scouse accent either and would be quite happy to diss that one too - and I grew up 20 miles from Liverpool!

HellBent · 30/01/2010 22:53

I think I say (and spell )it properly, I'm a bit away from Glasgow though, sunny Ayr!

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 22:54

You can say what you like about the Scousers as I'm not one of them.

HellBent · 30/01/2010 22:54

Anyone watch that episode at Hogmanay?

FEECHES! pmsl

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 22:55

Hellbent. I was hoping someone would finish that.

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 22:55

Feeches to you too.

Remotew · 30/01/2010 22:58

gaelics, my new man is from Scouse land, has been away 30 years but the accent is still slightly there. Should I ditch him now?

Bye the way I hart you all.

littlemissfixit · 30/01/2010 22:59

apologies for the horrible spelling i'm glued to the day after tomorrow on 4+1, that will teach me to pay attention in future! i have heard being called many things hellbent but never sunny!
