so why won't the council get the bin collections sorted?
Blue recycling bins were emptied on 5th Jan 9due to bank holiday)
Green household waste bins should have been emptied on 8th Jan and weren't because of the snow.
On 15th Jan the blue recycling bins were due to be emptied, they weren't, but household waste bins were instead. Household waste bins should have been emptied last friday (22nd) but again recycling ones were. Today is recycling bin day and they have emptied them again.
The council has a note on it's website saying to householders "if you were due a household waste bin collection on 20th,21st or 22nd Jan (thats me) then leave your bin out week beginning 25th jan and we will have them emptied by the 28th. Well it wasn't, and today the recycling bin was emptied again>
Now AIBU in thinking that surely recycling waste is better to be elft for 3 weeks than household rubbish? There are bags everywhere and the birds are in at them, and there is rubbish all over the street.
plus, we need to have ours emptied and cleaned out for our march out on 9th Feb and we don't know when they are going to be emptied now
