My ex was a great one for conspiracies so mabe I am biased. He considered taking me to seea crop circle a hot date.
He was convinced that the aliens were going to take over the earth.
Also there are a lot of medical conspiarcies. Mabe teh goverment DO release diseases into the environment in order to make money for drugs.
Oh yes and the world is going to end in 2012!

Mabe so-BUT- I really don't want to know!

It's just all a bit paranoid for my liking!

• World Trade Towers - 9/11 conspiracy theories.

• Anything to do with UFOs, aliens and the time he say something blurry and suspicious in East Anglia!

• The moon landing being faked in a TV studio. (Look, its obvious, see that shadow? etc etc)

You all know that 'they' are reading this thread and pumping invisible poison through the computer ? When you are overcome by the fumes, they send a man around to take your blood (he'll leave a fiver on the side) then he'll stick a camera up your bum and tell the government you've got nits up there. So they'll pay the drug companies £40000000 billion to make a new anti bum nit drug and make sure it's all printed in the daily wail Oh and Elvis actually IS head of Glaxo ?

I wonder if the end of the world in 2012 will have anything to do with Boris Johnson and the Olympics? This is my conspiracy theory - Boris will forget to switch off the Olympic torch properly, or some such, and it will continue to burn, and then something else will happen, and the whole world will end.
Obviously this theory needs some work.

My dear mother LOVES conspiracy theories, and is all convinced that the EU is going to cause the world to end, or that Big Business is taking over (I work for a large corporation, and know lots of other people who do as well; they're so completely disorganised - five departments to set up one desk - that there's no way they're running things).

This thread is providing me with much-needed laughs on a grey, manky, winter morning.

The thing that does my head in about conspiracy theories is that they seem to require such a lot of hard work on the part of the believer. All that time spent reading badly-spelled documents and piecing together Youtube clips, not to mention the endless circular self-defeating arguments on message boards across the web. It must be knackering.
