I love AIBU, i love a good barney same as the next guy but really, i haven't a clue what is sodding real anymore. I love the fun trolls, especially if they are clever. But when it is about sensitive subjects or just insulting our intelligence - its getting a bit much and i wonder if MNHQ should be considering some sort of control?

OP posts:

AT is the same fairystory as the Extended/RaisedInCare troll who overcomes great hardship to go to university and triumph over adversity. Load of bollocks. The thread that pissed me off was creepy though- asking for peoples experiences of abortion because her uni friend might be pregnant (no test, mind) and she wanted to know all about pelvic examinations etc. In Chat, ffs. Oh, and she would get her through it with cuddles and cups of tea. Twat.

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 16:54

Give it back. Confiscate another thread. Why should we all be punished because one person can't play nicely.

And I REALLY want to play re-write the OP.

southeastastra · 25/01/2010 16:54

real life is interesting enough without trolling threads. even so called funny ones.

GrumpyWhenWoken · 25/01/2010 16:55

I'm supposed to be working from home, but all I've done is post on here for weeks!

I have followed WWC and she has many personalities.

I like a good troll, especially the Friday night ones.

ppeatfruit · 25/01/2010 16:56

Sorry all but what's a troll? I'm a new poster and i think it's all mainly great; we all have code names so as someone said you just ignore the froot loops.

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 16:59

Casserole and SOF - Umami has delicately reopened said debate under "have a girl with dentinox thread disappeared etc"

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 16:59

SOH even.

Damn acronyms.

HunInTrainingOMG · 25/01/2010 17:02

I think every new poster is a troll these days. Tis a sad state of affairs. Thing is we do feed them, lots, so they are bound to keep posting.

I would love the next thread started by WWC to get fuck all response.

GibbonInARibbon · 25/01/2010 17:04

And there I am posting under weirdy name in error.

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 17:05

Gibbon - I never knew it was you! Thought twas Mimi. What an excellent Hun you make..

bibbitybobbityhat · 25/01/2010 17:06

Eh?

Gibbon - as you're here - were you JARM?

And who are you, Hun?

The annoying thing about WWC is that so many people are indulging her by posting on her many ridiculous threads.

I bloody well want more people to post on the really rather mundane marvellous threads started by me!

Would it help matters if I promise to post on your threads too?

Guess not...

I'm not sure why it bothers anyone that other posters respond to me. Why exactly do you feel the need to impose your views on others? How dare they waste their time on something you have judged as unimportant

The major complaints about me seem to be that at various points I have alluded to or made direct reference:

  1. I have a nanny
  2. I earn about the national average and so does my DH, and we live in a posh Edinburgh house
  3. I don't think it's reaosnable to be abused by drunk step children.
  4. I started a relationship with DH too soon - without leaving sufficient mourning period between us and his ex-gf.
  5. I believe DH should be providing a huge house and handbag money to his ex, think paying school fees is ok.
  6. I am pro-breastfeeding.

The idea that someone with the above attributes is unlikely to exist is just bizarre. There are loads of women who meet some or all of these.

Why it winds posters up so much is tbh rather beyond me. I can only conclude that many posters would like a nanny, a higher income and a better house, have children they want parented by non-bio dads, have been dumped for someone else, and didn't breastfeed..

Ahh... so that will be it... I'll get my coat.

bibbitybobbityhat · 25/01/2010 17:07

Boooooofffffff!

(head just fell off)

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 17:07

Would anyone like a girl, guaranteed?

MsMaryWollstonecraft · 25/01/2010 17:08
GibbonInARibbon · 25/01/2010 17:08

Yes twas me Hully

I wasn't JARM Bibbity, not seen her in yonks, I did love her name DanJARMouse

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 17:09

Fie fie, Ms Mary, no need for groaning, send her a pamphlet.

bibbitybobbityhat · 25/01/2010 17:09

Not at what WWC just posted. At the previous exchange with Gibbon/Hully.

We need a confused smilie.

MsMaryWollstonecraft · 25/01/2010 17:09

sorry. That groan was for WWC

Well it's nice to know you care...

The problem is, if that was an aim, the site isn't really set up to do that. You can't tell who posted the thread until you open it - by the time you have opened it, you've already drawn a poster in...

The other problem is that it encourages readers to believe that posters only post one sort of thread. If you don't click every single thread, and note who wrote it - then you have no way of knowing who posts what....

Casserole · 25/01/2010 17:12

Hully, where?? I can't fiiiind it. (whiny voice emoticon)

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 17:12

Good point, ho ho, that'll teach em, eh?

GibbonInARibbon · 25/01/2010 17:12

Bibbity I was a pram hun on another thread in disguise and just outed myself to Hully

WWC you don't wind me up. I honestly feel very sorry for and hope you get the help you need

Bless.

Sassybeast · 25/01/2010 17:13

Does dettol really work ? Or was it calpol that done it in the end ? Does Bill Gates own calpol too ? It's a conspiracy!
