I love AIBU, i love a good barney same as the next guy but really, i haven't a clue what is sodding real anymore. I love the fun trolls, especially if they are clever. But when it is about sensitive subjects or just insulting our intelligence - its getting a bit much and i wonder if MNHQ should be considering some sort of control?

I thought it was a given that Steve was JF?

Do you know, I was innocently googling the other day and I came across stocks porn. Filth. Reminds me of the day my Dad phoned up after newly acquiring the internet and shrieked 'all I googled was chocolate brownies, what devil work is this?' Hasn't been the same since my old Dad.

WhoIsAsking · 25/01/2010 15:40

Oh BOF - after the twitter thing, I went and looked on all of his sites and HAHAHAHAHA!

hahahahahaha

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

No wonder he spends his time fruiting about on here. Did you see the "voice artist" website?!

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 15:40

BoF my computer just refused that link. My computer never refuses to link. What the bloody hell was it? My computer allows stocks porn fgs.

SerenityNowAKABleh · 25/01/2010 15:40

Who's steve?

WhoIsAsking · 25/01/2010 15:42

A very strange bloke Serenity.

wannaBe · 25/01/2010 15:45

well in reality there's no way of knowing for certain whether most trolls are trolls. I could join mn tomorrow under a different name/email address, from another computer even so IP wouldn't be linked and make up a life that seemed plausible to others and no-one would ever know.

I imagine there are perfectly normal-seeming posters who don't have dramatic happenings in their lives who are actually none of the things they claim to be. Regular, well-known posters even.

SerenityNowAKABleh · 25/01/2010 15:45

Any links to any threads? You know, because it is important and I'm nosy

Mumcentreplus · 25/01/2010 15:46

yawn Is it time for this thread again...

WorzselMummage · 25/01/2010 15:56

I'm finding mn quite hard work at the moment that much is true and I don't post much anyway.

There have been a couple of abuse posts over the last few days that I've not believed a word of from the off. It makes me wonder about what kind of gratification the poster gets from it and that taints the whole thing.

I'm also well bored of WashWithCares saga.

SoupDragon · 25/01/2010 15:57

I've been thinking Troll/Journo fairly regularly recently. Far more often than in the past.

There is no solution though. You can't even ignore them in case they are someone who really needs help.

BitOfFun · 25/01/2010 15:58

I can't believe you didn't experience the joy of Steve, SOH...are you sure?

ChickensLoveMarmite · 25/01/2010 16:01

Woah. Steve is...built.

SerenityNowAKABleh · 25/01/2010 16:02

Hummina hummina

Mumcentreplus · 25/01/2010 16:03

Ok I've been away for a while whats the issue with WWC?

Hullygully · 25/01/2010 16:03

I have just come a bit.

SerenityNowAKABleh · 25/01/2010 16:04

WWC posts these VERY/mildly (depending on your viewpoint) threads, which then tons of people pile in on and it runs forever and ever

SerenityNowAKABleh · 25/01/2010 16:04

Very/mildly provocative that should read

RonaldMcDonald · 25/01/2010 16:06

whereas I am still sad and with a tiny bit of sick in my mouth

Oh Ronald.

WhoIsAsking · 25/01/2010 16:10

WashWithCare. She is the personification of an evil stepmother. It's all tres bizarre.

You're mixing her up with RaisedInCare and MrsHiggins.

ChilloOMNIPOTENThippi · 25/01/2010 16:11

I'm obviously not here enough. Never heard of WWC.

BitOfFun · 25/01/2010 16:12

AcademicallyTormented is the same one as those ones too, WhoIsAsking. I felt quite pleased at getting one of 'her' recent twatty threads pulled. All Steve.
