to think that all of my inlaws are completely and utterly selfish and manipulative, this is largely my husbands fault as he ALLOWS it!

Only if you tell us what they have done, to prompt the vent.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 25/01/2010 12:22

Difficult to say (unless they are like mine)

JemL · 25/01/2010 12:25

I'm going to say YANBU as my in-laws are like this. ANd I'm not just a wicked DIL, DH agrees with me, and so do his brothers, their wives and everyone else who meets them.

What have yours done?!

sima74 · 25/01/2010 12:28

MIL pretends to be ill when she is perfectly fine, husbands brother (total arsehole), owns company with husband, takes over all financial matters, do not trust him, my childrens inheritance at stake, i know sounds like over reaction but really have been married 14 yrs and nothing has changed so sick of it

have you spoken honestly wit your husband about how you feel?

Lovesdogsandcats · 25/01/2010 12:42

well if he is part owner, he has as much right to take over financial matters too. Can you get to look at the books?

Have there been any financial incidents to prompt your mistrust?

sima74 · 25/01/2010 17:00

this is the problem, he is far too trusting of his whole family, not realising that everyone only looks out for themselves, would love to look at the books but to be honest i think they wouldnt like that too much as they are very protective of each other, there have been things that make me feel as though everything isnt the way it should be financially but obviously i cannot prove anything,
