to think it's rude to read over someones shoulder?

DP had no idea why I asked him not to stand behind me when I was mn-ing and had never heard that it was rude and off-putting to read over someones shoulder. I explained to him and he accepted this but said he didn't see why. Am I the only one to think this?

No. Tis rude. I started a trhead a while back 'Do you MN in front of your husband?' Loads of people said NO

it really is. however i do it all the time on the train. sometimes i get quite annoyed if they turn the page and i haven't finished

Thank you! Its not even like he was just standing behind me - I said what are you doing and he replied 'just reading some of that stuff'. Not a clue! So I politely asked him not too and he got all funny about it.

My DP does it all the time but have now convinced him if he's so interested in mn to log on himself - actually caught him in the act the other day, he quickly closed thw window and muttered something about looking for carseat reviews. Ha! He's as big an AIBU fanatic as me.

I HATE this!! My DH does it to me sometimes, not on MN but just in general and it really bugs me. I always tell him and he has a bit of a huff. But I was always told it was rude and I find it sooo off putting.

It annoys the hell out of me - i usually end up huffing and switching pages to something really boring until he pisses off
