My daughter is nearly 2 and I cant help but look at her and my older son and feel proud of them, although I feel a tinge of sadness that she is our last aibu to suddenly panic but know I should be truly grateful and having anymore would be damaging to my health, relationship and my sanity.

I know what you mean, my youngest is 2 1/2 and I am really yearning for another baby at the moment. I can't have any more because I have a duff back and DH has had the snip, but at the moment it makes me well up just thinking about it! I have 3 kids and I think a part of it is jst not having a baby in the house for the first time in 6 years and I know logically that another would be nearly impossible, but it doesn't stop me being hugely broody.
Maybe we should take up baby sitting!

YANBU it is only natural to feel this way as a woman and mother.

MamaVoo · 22/01/2010 20:04

YANBU, although I am clearly unnatural as a woman and mother as I only have one and am hoping it stays that way.

mamavoo I'm unnatural too, I have 2 ds our 2nd is 17 weeks and I'm so relieved to have put my ttc, pregnancy and childbirth days behind you I cannot tell you. I'm far too selfish to have more

More's to the point economically, relationship, mental health and emotional wise it would be disastrous to have anymore. Even if I wanted more I know the impact on our and our childrens lives would be detrimental.

But I always think i could win "most unmaternal mum of the year award" if such a thing existed

LOL - sorry I suppose my comment could be misinterpreted

I was trying to make freshcleanwashing feel better, as I know lots of people who feel the same way. And I am oscillating as well on these feelings right now with my 2 DC..

MamaVoo · 22/01/2010 22:02

No offence taken

minx I'll give you a run for your money in that competition.

Well my younger one is two and a half but I am 46 so.....I guess another is highly unlikely and I feel so sad.I think I would probably feel this way even if I'd had the four I always wanted but maybe not.The heart is not a rational organ is it?
