I think the purpose of the gimp is to demonstrate just how fucked up Zed and his friend are. They keep a person chained up and kept in a box in a basement for their smusement and entertainment. The clue is there...these are not nice people

Actually, MonkeyFeathers, since you mention it, I've always found the GIMP on my Linux box rather baffling when I've been wanting something for designing an icon. I usually end up doing it on my windows PC instead.

Alas, I know nothing useful about Linux.

The Gimp in Pulp Fiction is a Sado Masochist, he is the gimp/slave the store owner is his master.

Grimma- GiMP is actually pretty intuitive- I really like it a lot more than photoshop, and it's very powerful.
