Dp's workmates wife has just had first baby,em cs, has had infection and has now been rushed to hosp with suspected retained products. few days ago i popped a card thru the door and left a little present for the baby on the doorstep,he sent me a msg saying thankyou loads etc etc
Now shes been rushed to hospital I was thinking of dropping get well soon card in the door, have written a little note inside with my mob number saying dont hesitate to txt me if you need anything from supermarket/chemist etc when dh is back at work.

Do you think she'll find it odd as she doesnt know me as such, or if you received it would you think, arhh how nice?

I'd probably consider it to be a nice gesture but I'd be unlikely to take up the offer if I didn't know you. But you never know, you might end up best friends....it certainly won't do any harm.

That is nice. its always good to know that there is some one willing to help when you need it and by help I do mean the shopping/chemist run etc not the let me help you and cuddle the baby while you make tea/ dinner/sweep the floor when getting out of bed is hard and getting into a car is impossible

I'm sure you know it's not unreasonable, you want to know if it's too much and bordering on creepy. It's not, it's thoughtful, and even if she never takes you up on anything it's always nice to know that people are kind and thoughtful when you hit your low points.

YANBU, its a lovely thought. The world needs more people like this. After having my fair share of shite friends over the years, it would make me happy to know that there are considerate people out there who actually give a toss about someone other than themselves.
