however no GP would confirm this before, took son to Doc with hight temp and a bad cough had a high temp and was confirmed he asthma I'm really sad for him becuase I know it can be scary how can I explain to him whats wrong with him.

how old is he?

not quite sure why, but docs won't diagnose asthma until after a certain age.
