Honestly - my name + my birthday is just so lame and boring. I always sign up to things as kat2907 but wish I had thought of something better {sulks}
And it's too late to change I think. Nobody would remember who I was.

Yeah, kat. Bored of mine too. Cannot think of a new one though, for the life of me. Am very admiring of some of the ones on here. want something clever, funny and a bit cheeky, but I have no imagination.

memoo · 18/01/2010 17:04

God I'm soooo bored of mine too! maybe we could think up new ones for each other!!!

PrettyCandles · 18/01/2010 17:07

Chose a name you like, eg NotBoringAtAll (), post with it to ensure it is registered to you, then add your old name to it: NotBoringAtAllIsKat2907. Use that for a couple of months, then drop the Kat2907 part.

Voila!

FrameyMcFrame · 18/01/2010 17:14

I don't like mine either!
Maybe you should just bite the bullet and change, a lot of people change their name all the time.

I was thinking of changing mine too but can't come up with anything good.

I thought of;

MajorMajor
FrizzBomb
CaptainCaveman

but don't really like any of them that much.

Spottyotter, I like your name, it is cheeky!

Jamieandhismagictorch · 18/01/2010 17:15

I've changed mine a couple of times. It's quite liberating.

Lubyloo · 18/01/2010 17:22

I don't like mine as there seem to be so many variations of Lubyloo on here. Someone with a similar name was making some very strong comments a while back that were in complete contrast to my own opinions and I was worried that people were going to attribute the comments to me (not that I am really known on here)

Spottyotter · 18/01/2010 18:26

Right! I've got one! A good one too! Am I allowed to tell you what it is.?? Nobody really knows me on here so it won't matter, or is it bad form?

MummyDoIt · 18/01/2010 18:29

KAT2907 - you share the same birthday as me!

I'm bored with my nickname too. I chose it because it was all I heard, all day long, when the DSs were toddlers. They're 7 and nearly 6 now so I don't get it any more but I just can't think of anything witty.

FrameyMcFrame · 18/01/2010 19:36

Go on, tell us Spottyotter...

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 18/01/2010 19:40

Do tell! I'm thinking I might change to a character from some book or other...I do love books! Plus then my RL friends who lurk on MN would never recognise me...

MummyDoIt yay! Leos rock xxx

mrsruffallo · 18/01/2010 19:43

Oh, me too. I just chose something that I thought was so far removed from me (not a mrs type, not m's biggest fan)that I would never be recognised.
Didn't realise that I would be on here for years. I would have chosen something else

NeedaNewName · 18/01/2010 19:43

I get bored of my names and change too - obviously I wasn;t very inspired the last time!

I did worry at first about people not knowing who I was, but to be honest I'm not on here all that much and I don;t think anyone would notice anyway!

Pretty candles idea is good

Batteryhuman · 18/01/2010 19:46

My birthday too and my name.....spooky. Where do you live? No don't tell me, that is how nightmares start.

Mine is a song title by a band I love.

Bumperlicious · 18/01/2010 20:04

Mine's shit too but far too late for me to change, bit like a football team for me, you pick and you stick

However, if you do want to change I suggest you schedule 2 weeks out of your life, name change, MN constantly and post inflammatory threads, then be very gracious and funny when you get flamed. That is how you make yourself known again

mrsruffallo · 18/01/2010 20:06

I can't name change!
They've taken the ability to name change off me, the swine!

JackBauer · 18/01/2010 20:13

What! How can they have stopped you namechanging?!
I am a bit bored of mine having had it in various formats for a year. I just can't think of anything else that would amuse me as much on some posts that I make though!

paisleyleaf · 18/01/2010 20:27

I always notice and like your name MummyDoIt - it's a phrase I know well too.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 18/01/2010 20:29

Batteryhuman you are Kat 2907 too? Bloody hell! I'm in the SE. Born 1980.

OP posts:
mrsruffallo · 18/01/2010 20:33

I don't know, Jack. It just won't bleedin' work

Batteryhuman · 18/01/2010 20:50

Oh I am MUCH older than you.....

So we aren't the same person after all, though I am from SE.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 18/01/2010 21:02

Oh that's ok then - I was worried for a minute

OP posts:
Spottyotter · 18/01/2010 21:06

Kat.. My dh has the same birthday as you too. Think I am going to be now known as PeggysEvilTwin. Now, can someone tell me how to namechange please

LadyPeterWimsey · 18/01/2010 21:09

I've just changed to a character from a book and I've found it very liberating. There were some very smug posts I made early on that I rather regretted later. Which is not say I will never revert, just that I fancied something different.

crankytwanky · 18/01/2010 21:09

Kat my birth date is one day away from yours!

Hate my name. I was tired when I thought of it.

darksideofthemooncup · 18/01/2010 21:10

Ooh I have just done it as this nickname came to me in the middle of the night and I thought it was great. It might cause offence to some though although that is not my intention. I was scourgeofthesteelymoon but probably haven't posted on here enough for it to make much difference that I've namechanged.
