Kids are such hard work demanding messy noisy I love them both dearly of course.....Sunday afternoons are just so much more peaceful and relaxing spent just with my pets. My pets are such a stress release am I the only one who feels this way....

Not in the least but I doubt if it's the popular view and I anticipate getting flamed for agreeing wholeheartedly with it.

Oh well....

darkandstormy · 17/01/2010 16:22

Val it may not be the popular view here but at times the true one....my Jr terrier is the sweetest being and is so gentle with the children and cats it guts me to read a lot of the anti dog sentiments on here.

Dog, cat and rabbit... love them all and they DO tell me that they love me... just not verbally.
There are days when I would gladly stick the kids in the rabbit hutch for a bit of peace

shockers, I have a dog crate and I often find myself looking from it, to the kids, back to the crate, wondering, just wondering....if I squash them up really small, might they both fit in it....?

I don;t have a dog but agree the sentiment. Sometimes I feel I would have a better time with a bevy of pet headlice.

My boys do my nut in more than my dogs or cats. Even when my cat is spraying, at least she sprays quietly

oldenglishspangles · 17/01/2010 19:26

you must live in my house

teamcullen · 17/01/2010 19:29

Ive definatly got the shitty end of the stick, because the dog is as bad as the kids.
When they start winding each other up the dog joins in barking at them.

Plus they sleep in their own bed. The bloody dog is on mine, grumbling and growling if I want to move my leg that he has decided to sleep on. Or worse still sits watching us if we want to get a leg over.

MojoLost · 17/01/2010 19:30

must get a pet!!! Thanks for the idea

IloveNickClegg · 17/01/2010 19:31
