Because he was working all day, well chatting up a client all day, which defeated the object of the day and has only just got home. Having stopped off at sainsbury for pizzas and a packet of sweets for DD...............he had the barefaced cheek to pitch up with NO BOTTLE OF WINE for me!!!

I've really a mind to send him back out to buy one!!!

scottishmummy · 16/01/2010 20:19

tethersend · 16/01/2010 20:19

lucyellensmumagain · 16/01/2010 20:26

Oh, its nice to see my plight being taken so seriously!!!

almostreal if that was the thread title, what do you think his chances are tonight????

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 16/01/2010 20:27

i reckon you'd bang like a barn door for a takeaway

lucyellensmumagain · 16/01/2010 20:27

what sort of suggestion is THAT compo? no, of course i wont can't go!!

Actually, i can't - i can't drive and DD at home, and i have actually resolved not to BUY anymore wine - so you see, it has to be a gift!

OP posts:
tethersend · 16/01/2010 20:28

Actually lucy, if his chances are good, can you get him to wash his hands before he goes to the chippie?

jeminthecellar · 16/01/2010 20:28

Send the fecker back out now!!

lucyellensmumagain · 16/01/2010 20:29

are you trying to say that im anything less than immaculately clean tethersend?

OP posts:
compo · 16/01/2010 20:31

Apologies for stupid idea

you could leave dd to go out though if you really wanted to

mrsboogie · 16/01/2010 20:33

tsk. does the man not think??

tethersend · 16/01/2010 20:34

It's not you I'm worried about, lucy

lucyellensmumagain · 16/01/2010 20:34

pizza was vile, a nice glass of red would have made it palatable, have cup of tea now and i think i might just put on a face pack, put my hair in rollers and steal DDs malteasers

OP posts:
upahill · 16/01/2010 20:35

lucyellen.... I love your logic about wine only counting if it is a gift. Therefore if Dh gets me G&B Butterscotch out of the cupboard it would be rude not to eat it!-Despite me being on a diet I would have to say what a lovely thought, I'll have that with the wine that doesn't count (because you got it) when I watch CSI NY in half an hour!!!

lucyellensmumagain · 16/01/2010 20:40

yep, thats about the size of it upahill and can be applied to food as well as alcohol

It doesn't count if its a gift

It doesn't count if its off someone elses plate

if its BOGOF it doesn't count if you eat/drink the free one

if its half price, well then it only counts half

But G&B doesn't count anyway because its posh so its not junkfood!
