Deep breath ? then post?

AIBU to think that we are all a bit grumpy? I?ve been around for a while (with a name change obviously) but don?t post often as I fear the wrath and backlash of grumpy women when I give my opinion.

Do I need to just ?grow a couple? or does MN just breed angry women???

I'd rather be grumpy than be a hun with a ticker.

ArizonaBarker · 15/01/2010 18:56

How very dare you?

goodnessme · 15/01/2010 18:57

Not directed at anyone in particular obviously...

GypsyMoth · 15/01/2010 18:59

nah...you must just be over sensitive..

WashwithCare · 15/01/2010 19:00

I am fairly happy - does that help?

sowhatitsonlysnow · 15/01/2010 19:00

Hrumph

goodnessme · 15/01/2010 19:02

WWC - with some of the stick that you have had recently maybe I am just too sensitive for MN.

(have to put in a disclaimer here by the way that it does not mean I agree with your opinions!!)

Dunno.... haven't been here long enough. I'm never grumpy though!! Look -

MillyR · 15/01/2010 19:05

Maybe this is nitpicking but I don't think grumpy women and angry women are really that similar.

southeastastra · 15/01/2010 19:05

yes grumpy old women generally

Hullygully · 15/01/2010 19:05

Fuck off

Portofino · 15/01/2010 19:06

I'm not grumpy! It's Friday and there is wine. I can feel my inner Peter Hitchens emerging though

goodnessme · 15/01/2010 19:09

MillyR - Maybe I was being too kind with 'grumpy' - angry seems a bit harsh, but there IS a lot of anger on here...

havoc · 15/01/2010 19:09

Not grumpy, just misunderstood.

bibbitybobbityhat · 15/01/2010 19:10

I am grumpy tonight. Fucking mumsnet has made me so!

MillyR · 15/01/2010 19:11

I don't find it that angry, but then I read a lot of threads on cardigowns and shiny hair.

piscesmoon · 15/01/2010 19:13

I'm just a grumpy old woman!

secretgardin · 15/01/2010 19:13

YANBU - started taking long breaks from MN when it gets too heavy. some people are on here every night and it seems that their hormone levels have synced. you only have to say for example "my mum won't babysit" and you get lynched by a mob of piranhas suffering from a severe case of pmt - going to hide behind my sofa now

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 15/01/2010 19:14

I'm grumpy tonight. Unusual actually but stuff has gor my goat by the pubes today.

goodnessme · 15/01/2010 19:14

Maybe I'm addicted to the wrong boards - My guilty pleasure is definitely AIBU but if you disagree with a poster it all tends to spiral down to personal attacks and insults.

southeastastra · 15/01/2010 19:14

why bibbity? though i am dead jealous of colin firth fancying you. did you make that up?

GetOrfMoiLand · 15/01/2010 19:16

How the hell can you say this place is grumpy when we have all been roaring with laughter at someone putting a clove of garlic up her arse beats me.

tethersend · 15/01/2010 19:21

Being grumpy makes me happy.

I'm not sure what that means...

onebatmother · 15/01/2010 19:21

ye-es. Can be.

But do post more often! Grumpiness is only fleeting. Most of us are drunk by 11 and rarely remember who annoyed us.

caramelwaffle · 15/01/2010 19:22

GetOrf - She has'nt seen that thread yet

Goodnessme - get over to the nevergooglegarlicbutter thread. Oh yes
