To have forced my DS to wear tights until he was 37?

I feel so guilty and a bit anxious. I made my DS wear tights until he was 37 in case he got cold, and now he walks about saying, "Shut that door," and, "Ooo get you," and looks at other boys queerly. Did I do something wrong?

Dont worry. At least he's not a breeder.

leclerc · 15/01/2010 18:07

no not at all. dh still wears tights on exercise (issue long johns aren't warm enough) and he's 38 next months.

and shutting the door is known to keep the cold out too...

v. sensible. imvho.

WrackedWithGuilt · 15/01/2010 18:08

Oh thank you. You are so kind. And especially for not pointing out my supoerfluous "W." Do you think he'll grow out of it?

gosh, why would he want to?

all dh's friends love him to bits. male bonding is a wonderful thing, and so prevalent in a military community.

JamesandHisFlamingSword · 15/01/2010 18:11

He may start putting them on his head, then you'll wreally need to start worrying

WrackedWithGuilt · 15/01/2010 18:13

Theeth no need for thath

Leclerc, my ds isn't military though. He is an exotic dancer. Is that all right?

well, technically it depends on what you think the etymology of the word is lol... (can see both pov)

but we can talk tights if you like.

leclerc · 15/01/2010 18:16

oops, x post.

i think all exotic dancers should wear tights tbh. i can't bear all that wobbling naked flesh. a little lycra helps keep it all under control. i think he's made the right decision.

At least loves his mother.....

pagwatch · 15/01/2010 18:29

YANBU as long as you remind him to keep his scrotum powdered at all times.
Chaffing in a grown male could be disasterous

OMG - not the same pair, surely?

He must change them regularly, and make him wear ones with a cotton gusset.

Oh, John Lewis have a lovely selection if he gets tired of the same old fishnet, seamed variety.

HTH.

Hullygully · 15/01/2010 18:48

This sort of thing makes me so angry.

TheCrackFox · 15/01/2010 19:02

You were right Hully, making babies where tights ultimately makes them a danger to society.

Have you thought about hosting your own phone in daytime TV programme where you could spout a load of shit inform the masses of your views?

Hullygully · 15/01/2010 19:04

They won't let me.
