some of them do not deserve a licence. we had to go out in the car earlier, we were driving between 5-10mph, as the roads round here are bloody awful at the moment. We were approaching a bend and could see a car coming from the other way, he was doing at least 30mph (on an ice rink) he anchored up as we had already stopped, and this d*ck (s'cuse the language) came skidding round the bend over onto our side and bang straight into us. i mean wtf is wrong with some people if he was driving like a sane person the front of our car wouldnt be buggered up right now.

oh poor you Hope you're all ok.

People drive like twats in this weather.

GetDownYouWillFall · 13/01/2010 15:03

Oh for goodness sake what a total IDIOT. On my way to work this morning everyone was doing 5-10mph on the backroads as it was SO slippery. It only takes one d*ck to cause an accident.
Hope he accepted blame and you get the insurance sorted out quickly
sympathyx

I agree, ducks are poor drivers.

Heqet · 13/01/2010 15:05

Yup. Some right numpties.

On the way to school this morning, going very slowly because of all the ice, this little car came up fast behind us and sat on our bumper. So my husband indicated and slowed further to let her past. She sped past, and zoomed off, round the corner. We were doing 20ish and she was doing at least 40, probably more. Now I know that doesn't sound a lot, but the road was very slippy indeed so it was a stupid speed for the road conditions.

Anyway, we went round the corner and guess who had come off it and was sideways, half on the road and half on the verge, between 2 trees? (Lucky she didn't hit either of them!)

yup. Numpty girl herself!

She wasn't hurt and I wouldn't wish that she was, but I did think that it served her bloody right.

And to cap it all, a car came round the corner, fast, and nearly hit her because it skidded on the ice trying to swerve to miss her.

Did he learn? No. he recovered control of his car - only just failing to go off the road! then he picked up speed again, overtook us and buggered off.

I just don't get some people.

PrivetDancer · 13/01/2010 15:05

sorry about your car, but I now have visions of lots of ducks driving round.

but do you know what peed me off some workmen were just standing by there vans laughing about, which i thought was just bloody mean.

I was thinking ducks too

"It only takes one duck to cause an accident"
How true!!

TrinityIsFuckingTrying · 13/01/2010 15:24

some people are just complete wankers

I'm sorry but I read the op as DUCKS

Prinnie · 13/01/2010 15:31

Heget did you resist the temptation to tell her that she was driving like a t*at? ! I have a small fantasy about seeing someone driving stupidly and then finding them in an accident further along (although not hurt obviously) and then telling them that it served them right!

Heqet · 13/01/2010 15:35

My husband knows me and refused to let me wind down the window. Otherwise I would have. She knew it though. You could see it on her face. the people who had just pulled in to let her pass because she was driving too fast now drive past her after she's skidded. She knew I was laughing.

catinthehat2 · 13/01/2010 15:58

I would like to reiterate my tried and tested advice when driving in the presence of ducks, purple or otherwise.

Keep your cameraphone charged at all times so that you can take a picture of the damage on both vehicles, the state of the road, the location etc the second both vehicles have slid to a stop.

Then you can help your insurer beat their insurer down from 50%/50% to 0%/100% costs like what I did.

littlemoominmamma · 13/01/2010 17:32

I was intrigued to know just how bad ducks are at driving?

Hope you are o.k now, I know it can take a while to sink in if you have been in any sort of accident . But it did make me laugh at the duck thing

nighbynight · 13/01/2010 17:39

ducks are the new d*cks on mn...

Tiredmumno1 · 13/01/2010 22:37

They also seem to forget bloody indicators as well.

Some duck pulled out in front of me today without warning, no indicator etc and hit the f* ice and lost control. I'm glad I was on the ball and able to avoid him.
