to ask dh to take a charcoal tablet before bed?

dh is farting like a trooper and it stinks. beer and peanuts I guess....

I have just asked him to take a charcoal tabet before bed so that the room which we share with dd who is 7 weeks won't smell... He has gone mental saying I've spoilt a nice evening! Aibu in asking him to take one? I would if it was me!

I'd point out it is he who is spolingi the evening.

lol I wish! He's scared of shagging post baby, I had an emcs 7 weeks ago and he's nervous of my internal stitches busting!

He's been up and taken a tablet but moaned, I've said thanks and asked if he could just think of us in future and take them first sign of the farts! I hate waking up gagging cause he's been farting away!!!

Aw he's just embarrassed that's all. Maybe he was imagining himself as a swarthy stud and all round cool character and you disabused him of this fantasy somewhat bluntly.

PMSL @ charcoal tablet. I've never heard of one of those. I shall be purchasing some for myself my ds I reckon. Do they work?

they seem to work, I bought them in desperation about a year ago and its always a fight to get him to take them but they neutralize the gas somehow... Its annoying though, I'm the one with ibs and yet I rarely fart!

Do men have a specific rancid fart gene?

You can buy pants with a charcoal pad too so any escaped farts are caught! Can't see dh agreeing to those!

Dp has a MAJOR farting problem he says i cant blame him for the smell as he's sleeping and doesnt know he's farting
The smell makes me gag and they are some times so load they wake me up
so i will def be getting DP some of these.

ROFL at this thread and particularly at charcoal lined pants. I will definitely get some of those for my mum's birthday present.

Sorry ladies, but this is too too funny. Literally tearing up... I had a friend who would give her dogs charcoal tablets before they had guests come over, but didn't know that they made them for humans!! And the extra protection of charcoal pants! Oh dear, too much.

boots/sainsbury's/holland and barratt by vitamins and alternative health... Its a remedy for indigestion and wind in a small white bottle of 100 tablets....

The pants I think you'll need to look online for... they also do a bed mat like the ones you'd use for bed wetting!

I'm thinking of hiding some charcoal bricks under dh's side of bed to catch any night time odours when he won't take the tablets - how clean is your house says it works in a fridge so its worth a go! Lol

oh, they don't taste of anything much, powdery residue though so a glass of water is needed... They are the size of an average vitamin tablet....

Another recommendation for them is prior to a dental appointment when having an amalgam (silver) filling removed or placed as they help absorb any mercury you may ingest during the proceedure are carry it harmlessly out of your system.

PMSL at this. DH was farting like a trooper on Saturday night. The next morning when I complained he said that must have been why he woke up with a dry throat - boak . They were stinkers alright and ds (7 yo) seems to have inherited the 'gift'.

you know its too much when you can 'taste' the farts... It takes a lot to get rid of that! Ewww
