GRRRRRRR

ds is 6 and tonight I cooked him and dd eggy bread for tea (MAIN MEAL AT SCHOOL)

he has always liked eggy bread.Always

Except tonight, apparently my eggy bread was "disgusting".He also very rudely demanded a drink from me.

Was I wrong to fly off the handle?

i don't think his behaviour was very acceptable

dp then came wading in with "Why are you shouting, you are the adult here?"

Patronising sod.

He NEVER disciplines the children.

It is always me who has to be the big bad wolf while daddy is all sweetness and light.

I am sick of it.

i feel like walking out for a few hours and leaving him to it,but can't reallly as he has a long term illness and cannot manage to bath the children and dd is disabled.

I am just so pissed off.Seemingly nothing I do is right despite the fact i am the wageearner, cook, cleaner, homework helper, washer ,ironer and financial m,anager,I am apparently a big pile of shite to everyone else.

Of course YANBU.

Glass of wine?

What's his illness and does it mean he can't discipline them either?

Have a glass of wine. Get the kids bathed and to bed. Then speak to DP (calmly!) about how you are going to handle discipline together from now on. Strategies to deal with DS being rude, strategies about not undermining each other in front of kids etc.

Done?
