Because that seems to be the only time she ever phones me Then I get the third degree if I don't pick up...where were you? What's so important that you can't answer the telephone etc etc...

We are ttc at the moment {I normally post there under a different name btw), and it means that we often try to have a lie in at the weekends and make the most of it, but she seems to just now exactly when to ring for maximum passion-killing effect. Sorry if tmi, but this morning I was just on the point of no return, and then Brrrr Brrrrr, Brrrr Brrrrr. No happy ending for me It's the third weekend she's done it!

unplug the phone first

Pull the phone out.

Could you suggest a time for her to ring or ring her before you start (though if thats not a passion killer I don't know what is)

Pick up the phone and say "Sorry Mum, just in the middle of a shag. Can I call you back later?" She may never dare call again!

She rings my mobile though, and I can't have it on silent as I use it for my alarm clock and keep it by the bed.

Then turn the mobile off too.

my dad does this to me. i swear he has some monitor or something on my bed!

mind you he has called before just as we were getting started so i answered and Dp carried on with the foreplay.

was THE most horrible 5 minutes of my life. DP thought it was hilarious.

and why is it the quicker you want them off the phone the more they chat?

Next time she asks why you didnt tell her "sorry i was getting a good seeing to" she'll think twice about calling you again

Just turn both phones off.

Switch your phone off just before you have sex. The alarm will still go off if is switched off (if it is like my phone.) You probaly won't fall asleep while you are having sex anyway, so won't need the alarm to go off.

Tell her exactly what you were doing.

She will never, ever ask again.

That's the first time I've heard "phone your mother" as a suggestion of foreplay

Can't you just chat to her while dh does the business?

ignore phones and ring back and say you were in bath/migraine/didnt hear phone/batt dead etc

If you get into the habit of not answering the phone, people will get used to it. I just tell them that I don't answer it if I don't feel like it!
MIL once rang 11 times in a row and then came over and asked me why I looked so stressed out...she really didn't understand when I told I her I was fed up of the phone ringing!!!
(I was trying to establish BF with a 2 day old baby, though, not have sex!)

5 years later, she now just accepts that if I don't answer the phone I'm not available-I ring back when I am!

Take phone off hook before you start (if its a mobile turn off). Call back when finished and say you were in bath.

My mum always calls at 7.45pm just as I am getting kids to bed.... so now when the phone rings at that time I know not to answer. I call back once they are all settled.
