Driving home tonight, turned onto my cul-de-sac to find a car and big white van double parked. Managed to squeeze through in my tiny car by a cat's whisker. Roads are packed with solid ice. When I got to my house I wrote 2 notes suggesting a little consideration for the neighbours when parking. No swearing or ranting lol. I went back out and put them under the windscreen wipers of the car and van.

We have carports for each house and a big carpark at the front of the estate for overflow. An ambulance or fire engine would not have got through the gap.

I know one of the cars may not have double parked to begin with but was so cross.

Actually, I don't think I was BU at all, just wanted a moan. Feel free to join me.

crap parking is my bugbear, in this weather it seems that total chaos and disorder reign. Good for you putting notes on the cars. I've spent the last 6m 'educating' my neighbours that unless you know me, have asked me, or are actually visiting number 68, don't park in my flipping space.. It's just plain RUDE! Now the selfish buggers shovel the snow into mounds to get their cars out.. But they pile up the snow in front of other peoples cars, the snow freezes, and the poor sod needs dynamite to get their car out... Argh! And breathe..

Bet they won't be able to read the notes as they'll have frozen to the windscreen within minutes.

anyone that double parks is usually only there briefly to unload at a convenient spot. I do it sometimes - a friendly toot and I'll be out and move the car.

I did toot when trying to manouvre through the gap but no-one came. It took me 10 minutes to get in, unload the shopping, um amd ah about writing a note, write the notes, put my shoes back on and go back up the road in the snow to the cars- they were still there.
