To not want to be filmed giving birth for the world and his wife to watch on the internet?

MrsPolarBear · 09/01/2010 16:52

My landlord has installed an infra-red webcam in my bedroom and is providing a live feed to the internet via his personal website.

I am due to give birth shortly - AIBU to want to do this in private? Quite frankly, the thought of all those people watching is putting me off. I bet they'll all want a say in what I call my new baby and make a fuss about me breastfeeding in public.

I think you should sue.

GlastonburyGoddess · 09/01/2010 16:53

are you for real? the webcam in your bedroom is illegal surely?

Lionstar · 09/01/2010 16:53

Have you not popped that sprog yet. Hurry up woman animal

Heqet · 09/01/2010 16:54

All this stress is making me rather OCD about the cleanliness of my paws too. I've licked them raw.

I'm not sure about the legalities of it. We didn't sign a tenancy agreement so I guess the landlord can do as he likes.

....snigger at anyone asking if this is real....

DiamondHead · 09/01/2010 16:55

That landlord keeps you in fish. They don't grow on trees you know. Quit the moaning and get on with the pushing.

here

BitOfFun · 09/01/2010 16:56

I would go passive aggressive and just lie as still as possible until everyone gets bored and stops watching. Trust me, it works.

ROFL, GlastonburyGoddess

GlastonburyGoddess · 09/01/2010 16:56

ok haha

MrsPolarBear · 09/01/2010 16:59

Oooh! I think I just felt a contraction!

Oh, hang on, no. It was just wind. Sorry. Thankfully there does at least appear to be adequate ventilation here.

PurpleEglu · 09/01/2010 17:05

just hurry up and give birth and we'll stop watching you

juneybean · 09/01/2010 17:17

Have you not had it yet? Stop pissing about on mumsnet and get back to work before I get my poking stick.

MrsPolarBear · 09/01/2010 17:59

Pissing about on Mumsnet? I'm just hanging around hoping for a live birth thread. I just wish so many people weren't showing such an interest in my, er, bear garden.

at glastonbury

ChickensHaveFrozenNuggets · 09/01/2010 18:03

MrsP, frankly, I feel that you are not pulling your weight. The posters of Mumsnet are sending you good wishes, and even offering (in one case) to provide you with soothing back rubs. I even have half of facebook staring at you sleeping/paw licking. I think you like the attention, and are clenching.

lilibet · 09/01/2010 18:04

Why not get up off your rather {ahem} ample backside and have a walk round - it will not only speed upthe contractions but it will also give us something to watch other than you licking your bloody paws!

Oh and btw, have you started a baby names thread?

EccentricaGallumbits · 09/01/2010 18:04

I don't want to worry anyone but I am coming to wonder if this is not a fake poster.

I have evidence that while claiming to be in labour she is lying and is jsut fat.

and she loves that webcam. all that rolling around waving her paws and looking cute. pah!

How long can she drag out this fake - 'ooh look at me i'm in labour, my landlord is a beast, poor me, send me some seal blubber and a fish' nonscense.

and if any of you keep thinking she is real after all that then you are stupid.

bronze · 09/01/2010 18:05

and clear up that crap you've done in your room

Any name suggestions are welcome. I didn't have any antenatal scans so there could be any number from 1 up to triplets in there (or possibly none. I guess it could just be overeating and trapped wind...). I'm thinking of Snow, Ice and Grit-salt but am worried that the hyphenated name is a bit poncey

I personally...am quite taken in by the name 'Kinky Lemon'

maduggar · 09/01/2010 19:49

Kinky Lemon keeps catching my eye too!

CaptainUnderpants · 09/01/2010 19:56

Mrs Polarbear what support is the father giving you ?

He is no where to be seen, I bet he is down the nearest pub ice hole, watching the girls fish go by !
