... or at least sort the refund without being chased for it. I do not post very often but this made me really upset and this might serve as a warning to other that had they delivery canceled due to the weather.
They were due a delivery last week, they canceled but still took my money, 2 days later for some reason. Was never advised that I had to ring customer services to sort out the refund. I end up going to the nearest supermarket not aware that I was £80 short.
Only on checking my account I found out that it shows as delivered and the money taken out but no sign of refund. Only by chance I did not go overdrawn over my limit, as I had some emergency expenses this week. I am really annoyed and once I have my money back will no longer shop at Tesco and will cancel my account.
I think it is a pretty shoddy way to do business. Asda only takes the money from the account once the goods are actually delivered, so if they can do it that way I can't Tesco. I wonder how many people are in the same situation without realising it as not everybody checks their account daily.
Now it will take 3-5 days for the money to be back in my account which means I might not be able to food shop until end of next week. I am sorry for the long rant but I am really annoyed!
