There we go, carry on everyone. Teachers are crap because....

You're not playing fair now - fecking -8 here - in Hampshire, am fed up with cold and snow now.

This thread has really cheered me up, I am running year 9 parents evening tomorrow and have received a total of 46 emails from parents over the weekend. Half of which are saying we must call off immediately because of snow and half of which saying they absolutely expect it not to be changed. In for a crap day tomorrow...clearly because I'm a crap teacher!

I will be on duty in reception for the first hour or so tomorrow (our first day open after 3 snow days)

I am not looking forward to the constant stream of parents telling me how their DH/auntie/labrador's cousin walked 15 miles to work 'and it only took half an hour' and demanding to see the head (who will probably be teaching) for a personal explanation of exactly why we were shut....

oh god rusty poor you! Hang a sign round you neck saying....yup we know you work harder than us now fuck off. our Ho 6th form has been told she needs to 'stop 6th formers throwing snow balls" i think she plans to put those plastic tie things around their wrists, cutting them free as they leave at the end of the day!

On my school website it says thanks to all the parents who helped to clear ice and snow from the paths and playground so that we can open in the morning. Those parents must have been desperate to get their kids back to school! Personally, I've had a fab time having three days off while DD's school remained open

I'm in school, I've brought my shovel. Either to dig my way out or to hit annoying parents over the head with.

Skiving again! I really hate this snow. So fed up stuck in at home.

School is shut, but the 7 of us that made it are shovelling snow and clearing pathways. And it's still snowing. And we have no grit.
