We were all relaxing on the sofa, the boys winding down after a nice salad for dinner.
Next thing, doorbell rings.

DP goes to the door, where he is met by a pizza delivery boy, with 2 HUGE pizzas and some garlic bread, AND coleslaw!!

Apparently, exW had been worried that the boys would go hungry at our house, so she has started sending food out to them.

This is a first, even for her. I am gobsmacked and Dp says he is visiting our lawyer at the earliest opportunity.

So why don't you use your multiple skills on MN? Do you reserve them for the world of work?

TheBossofMe · 07/01/2010 16:57

Anyway, I would lurve pizza tonight. With garlic bread, maybe a side salad, and extra jalapenos over all of it.

Sadly I will have to make do with a hastily rustled up dinner of whatever is in our rather bare fridge/larder.....

I can dream, though.

TheBossofMe · 07/01/2010 16:59

I am ignoring you now Anna - you clearly want a ruck and I'm not going to give in...

Chocolate croissants for dinner....hmmm, there's a thought....

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 07/01/2010 16:59

Speaking as a dispassionate outsider could I just observe that your reaction to all this seems wildly out of proportion Boss - and that perhaps you should go and do something else before you get even more worked up?

So you don't like Anna and you don't like what she's done. Fair dos.

But you aren't very likely to meet her in rl and in the meantime you can just walk away and ignore her if you like ...

WhoIsAsking · 07/01/2010 17:00

TheBoss

Move away from it.

Oh, and give me a job, mine is well shit.

Paolosgirl · 07/01/2010 17:01

Chocolate croissant pizza...now there's a thought. Mmmmm...

Bonsoir · 07/01/2010 17:01

I don't want a ruck, I am genuinely interested in people's behaviour!

BrahmsThirdRacket · 07/01/2010 17:03

...and lack of self control, as you said. Self-control is very important to you, isn't it bonsoir?

TheBossofMe · 07/01/2010 17:04

Am ignoring you...I am not going to over-react again...(stay calm, breathes deeply)

I once had a chocolate pizza in Japan. It was very odd - sweet pastry type base (almost like choux pastry) - with a chocolate ganache-type topping and cream on top. Very sickly but strangely moreish.

WhoIsAsking - my job is pretty shit at the moment as well, mainly because it seems to be endlessly about making people redundant at the moment, not a whole lot of pleasure in that...

Bonsoir · 07/01/2010 17:05

I am interested in the acquisition of self-control and the very different methods that are employed in France and the UK in order to try to instil it. And in how you can break it down (or not) according to how it was acquired...

BrahmsThirdRacket · 07/01/2010 17:07

Interesting how perceptions have changed, because in the past the British considered the French to be overly emotional and hysterical whereas the French thought the British were repressed and frigid...

hobbgoblin · 07/01/2010 17:07

Blimey you are on a roll aren't you?

Is this the year you finally unravel entirely?

slim22 · 07/01/2010 17:07

split the croissant, toast until butter starts leaking through, spread nutella while still hot so it melts right through, then add another layer for good measure.

You can stick back the 2 sides together if you prefer calzone.

Paolosgirl · 07/01/2010 17:09

I wonder if you could exercise some self control over your fingers Anna, and just stop them typing altogether?

drloves8 · 07/01/2010 17:11

what do you call a french troll?
a trollete.
what perfume does anna wear
eau de trollette
boom boom < mwah ha ha >

BrahmsThirdRacket · 07/01/2010 17:11

Slim, that sounds fucking incredible...

Bonsoir · 07/01/2010 17:11

Yes, if you like a gross simplification (which can be useful), those perceptions have been somewhat reversed over a generation or so. The veneer of self-control that the French maintained in public and was so quickly unravelled in private is a lot thicker these days than it used to be. Old French people behave shockingly badly on the whole - the younger generation are very disapproving and a lot better at behaving themselves.

MadameDefarge · 07/01/2010 17:12

nah, I am enjoying Anna working her way through an entire B&Qs worth of shovels...keep digging, digging for victory!

TheBossofMe · 07/01/2010 17:12

slim22 - I am now salivating in a not entirely ladylike way!

Alicetheinvisible · 07/01/2010 17:14

Well, i like Bonsoir, so there

Goes off to search for Nutella.....

drloves8 · 07/01/2010 17:14

TheBossofMe · 07/01/2010 17:16

OK, just finished the half of the jammy croissant I didn't finish earlier...and it tasted GOOD!

Still want pizza though....

awastingamanger · 07/01/2010 17:16

Anna, if people think ur a troll, because u are perceived to speak shite all the time, how to tell when u are trolling?

Dressing for supper - I wish we still did that (goes all misty-eyed at thoughts of Brideshead...)
