We were all relaxing on the sofa, the boys winding down after a nice salad for dinner.
Next thing, doorbell rings.

DP goes to the door, where he is met by a pizza delivery boy, with 2 HUGE pizzas and some garlic bread, AND coleslaw!!

Apparently, exW had been worried that the boys would go hungry at our house, so she has started sending food out to them.

This is a first, even for her. I am gobsmacked and Dp says he is visiting our lawyer at the earliest opportunity.

I am just this minute reading a lot of essays all about how hatred of the French is one of the definining characteristics of the British national consciousness...

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 17:37

I think she's orl right. I like a bit of Uncompromising meself.

Georgimama · 07/01/2010 17:38

Absolutely. Been at war with them on and off for a thousand years.

But she's not French.

BrahmsThirdRacket · 07/01/2010 17:39

She wishes she was though...

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 17:39

She is French through and through. She out-Frenches them like a little lipsticked Napoleon.

Bonsoir · 07/01/2010 17:39

LOL. I don't think the British and French really hate one another - why would so many Britons have second homes in France and French people work so succesfully in London if there was that much animosity? And when I was at school (European School) the French and British children got on very well (and the Italians got on well with both as well). Germans, Dutch and Danish were somewhere else entirely.

drloves8 · 07/01/2010 17:40

do trolls have nationalities?

drloves8 · 07/01/2010 17:42

lol @ little lipsticked napoleon !
. i love you really anna ! your funny , but you dont see it yourself.

Bonsoir · 07/01/2010 17:42

I don't want to be French! I could have naturalised ages ago but I have no desire at all to do so.

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 17:44

No, I can see you wouldn't want to do that. What an appalling dilemma.

catastrojb · 07/01/2010 17:44

chocolate croissants (because i am confused by rest of thread but understood that bit...).....

take one normal croissant. make deep cut in side. shove gently place two pieces a piece of terry's chocolate orange inside. place in warm oven for a while. yumyumyumyum.

drloves8 i'm sure trolls are scandinavian and live under bridges....

GibbonInARibbon · 07/01/2010 17:45

@ anmabonsoir

Bonsoir · 07/01/2010 17:45

I have no dilemma whatsoever...

bluesuedepews · 07/01/2010 17:45

I would just like to announce when in Raris a few years ago I managed 6, count 'em!, 6 chocolate croissants for my breakfast.

I thank you.

bluesuedepews · 07/01/2010 17:45

Raris?

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 17:45

(Catas! You are in terrible trouble. You were supposed to be singing at the wedding and you just buggered off and left us in the lurch.)

drloves8 · 07/01/2010 17:46

there there lovey < put comforting arms around Bonsoir> you dont have to be french if you dont want too . ok? right , just put your wee arms into this lovely tailored jacket , hold still and breath in ,whilst i fasten up the buckles at the back. there thats better .

TheBossofMe · 07/01/2010 17:47

This troll has a nationality and it isn't french.

Anyway, still dreaming of pizza, have decided on salmon for dinner, though.

Doesn't sound as nice, though, does it...?

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 17:47

(Look, Gibbon! How dare she show her brazen deserter face)

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 17:48

She isn't mad. She has standards. Bravo I say!
