Just because you can't see the other person it doesn't mean they aren't real, or that they can't be hurt by peoples comments and nasty digs!!!

And I'm not talking about me, and I'm not naming names, I just think people should try to be a bit more considerate of each others feeling sometimes!!!

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 14:55

Hers is the only thread I've seen any personal remarks on lately so just assumed it was that.

Everything else is so boring today (and I got bored of that after about page 2)

McSnail · 07/01/2010 14:55

thumbwitch · 07/01/2010 14:55

am I? (as in confused) - where else have I said it?

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 14:57

Anna is a gorgeous pouting French-by-partnership-and-living broad who is very old, enormously overweight and has hideous dress sense. And she lives under a railway arch in the east of Paris.

Presumably Anna is BonsoirAnna which is her normal posting name

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 14:58

Hully are you doing your Rainman bit again?

slim22 · 07/01/2010 14:59

hullygully.

McSnail · 07/01/2010 14:59

Y'see - I just don't recognise mumsnet names.

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 14:59

I am doing my bit to support the creaking edifice that underpins our fine tongue.

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 15:00

Anna can't be bothered to supervise her stepchildren, take them to the doctors, buy them clothes etc and everyone keeps flaming her for it. She is very slothful.

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 15:01

Hully, picking me up on my grammar wasn't very considerate of my feelings now was it. Off the thread now please.

(feel free to add your own question mark)

thumbwitch · 07/01/2010 15:01

ok, if you want scanning - "...but names will drive you mental".

So ner. Never said I was Alan Bennett, did I?

MillyR · 07/01/2010 15:02

Some people have far too many feelings though. Often it is their excessive amount of feelings which has dragged them into the scenario which they then tell us all about on a post on MN.

Heqet · 07/01/2010 15:02

no idea what thread has prompted this but my opinion is yes and no

yes, there is no need to be offensive but otoh what often actually happens is someone asks for opinions but when they read something they don't like, gets offended.

If someone has been offensive (unless in response to you saying you like the KKK or enjoy eating babies or something) that's one thing but if you ask for opinions and then get huffy and yell bully if you don't like the answer, then tough!

AIBU to be scared of snow
"Yes, you twat, feck off and die"

horrible, unreasonable, bullying and cruel

AIBU to be scared of snow
"Yes you are a bit, have you considered therapy?"
"how dare you call me insane I am entitled to my feelings..you BULLY!!!"

See?

there's offensive and there's taking offence because someone has failed to tell you what you want to hear.

Hullygully · 07/01/2010 15:03

Bollocks to your feelings

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 15:03
