to think that SIL should be able to hang her toddler's ski suit on the line without some twat stealing it?

I have come over all Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells.

What is the world coming to?

Mum has been out looking for a new one but the shops don't have much in stock. I am going to see if I still have DD's ski suit somewhere in the cellar.

(we really do need an emoticon for that)

OMG. I just don't get why someone assumes they have the right to take something belonging to somebody else. No matter how desperate you are - you don't know how desperate the victim may be.

Am also in need of catbummouth emoticon!

MmeLindt · 07/01/2010 10:08

My brother is the only one working so they don't have money to spare. They are not desperate but not well off either.

Have they looked in neighbouring gardens?

It might be kids off school grabbing it for a laugh then dumping it a few minutes later.

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 10:33

Her toddler skis?

2010aQuintessentialOdyssey · 07/01/2010 10:35

Nothing unusual in that ghouls. Here even 1 year olds bring their skis to nursery during winter. The first thing you learn, after walking. (Providing it is winter, which it is, a large part of the year. sigh.)

What A Shame MmeLindt.

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 10:40

Ah! Does MmeLindt live in Switzerland or somewhere?

I thought she lived in Tunbridge Wells! Just re-read it and see what she meant!

borderslass · 07/01/2010 10:41

A skisuit is an all in one coat and trousers ghouls we called them snowsuits whens ours were little.

MmeLindt · 07/01/2010 10:42

No no, toddler does not ski. But she is a menance on a sledge and gets cold tootsies.

I am in Switzerland, SIL is in Scotland.

GhoulsAreLoud · 07/01/2010 10:43

Oh yes, my DD has a snowsuit, she was in it yesterday.

LunarSea · 07/01/2010 10:43

No problem with toddlers skiing - first half of this video is ds2 skiing at 22 months.

MmeLindt · 07/01/2010 10:44

I never even noticed that I call it a ski suit instead of a snow suit. Probably cause my DC were brought up in Germany at that age and they call them skianzug there.

tell your mum to look in debenhams if she has one nearby, they had loads of all in one snow suits in the sale the other day.

mumof2point5 · 07/01/2010 11:02

lunarsea - what age is older child?
love the vid. v.preg for last 100 years so no skiing! v jealous

MmeLindt · 07/01/2010 11:02

Thanks, Nancy. I will tell her to go and have a look. Checked the website and they only have the smaller sizes, but they may have larger ones instore.

Lunarsea
Great video.

Lots of toddlers ski here, you see them whizzing down the slopes faster and better that many adults.

SkinnyLattePlease · 07/01/2010 11:05

LunarSea, where was the video shot? It looks gorgeous and empty!
Small children just look so cute on skis.

LunarSea · 07/01/2010 11:05

mumof2point5 - the older one (ds1) was 7 when that was filmed.

2010aQuintessentialOdyssey · 07/01/2010 11:06

Also sports shops such as Snow & Rock, Ellis Brigham, Mountain Warehouse should have them. I think she can even order online from them.

LunarSea · 07/01/2010 11:08

SkinnyLattePlease - it was at Silver Satr in British Columbia, Canada. And it is usually that empty!

LunarSea · 07/01/2010 11:08

Silver Star even!

Morloth · 07/01/2010 11:09

Personally I think toddlers should be banned from skiing, it is bloody embarrassing.

It does suck that someone has nicked the little one's suit. I hate stealing it pisses me off quite unreasonably.

2010aQuintessentialOdyssey · 07/01/2010 11:14

great clip lunarsea.
My oldest is also 7, and he started sking a year ago. We have the slopes behind our house, it has a jump for snowboarders too. All the older kids go after school, and my neigbhours 14 year old son is practicing the flips and the summersaults on the trampoline all summer. Check this out:

snowboarders behind my house

It scares the shit out of me, we bought a snowboard for ds1 last year, as his best mate is now also into snowboarding. I really do not want them up there doing such tricks. But all good clean fun, eh?

LunarSea · 07/01/2010 11:22

Wow - ds1 would love to have that in the back garden!

MmeLindt · 07/01/2010 20:45

Wow, QS. Good view that you have.
