I am coming towards the end of a long mc - started a week before xmas, I have a sore throat, belly ache, headache and generally feeling crapole.

DC's are at their nans as planned as I have a scan in the morning, don't know if I will get there with the snow. My house needs a tidy up and there is a mountain of washing to do. I did duly take the boys out in the snow this morning too!

I just want to stay in bed and eat junk, I have some choccies and lemonade (i did just have a sandwich for lunch though!)

Just need a general whinge, I know NONE of you will tell me IABU

I just got up from a 2 hour nap, am on Mumsnet and have scoffed a big bowl of crunchy nut (though I did add fruit) and am about to have a cup of tea and a tim tam.

meltedmarsbars · 06/01/2010 14:04

Get those chocolates out and the tv on!

ps whats a tim tam?

Oblomov · 06/01/2010 14:05

Poor ou. sounds like heaven. no excuse required. you don't need a REASON to stay in bed, you know. Its just that most don't get the chance. Would be the first place I'd be, without needing to justify it, given half a chance.

meltedmarsbars · 06/01/2010 14:06

Its ok I've just googled it...

Yes you can deffo have those. The whole packet if needed.

compo · 06/01/2010 14:06

Julezboo · 06/01/2010 14:45

I spent the day in bed with DC's yesterday watching films with them!

Just debating on whether I should run a nice hot bubble bath and watch something on the netbook whilst i soak before I have to go brave the horrible roads to get DH hmmmm

Morloth - where do you get the Timtams? I would sell a child for a packet at the moment.

Bath, bed, telly - go for it, julezboo.

Morloth · 06/01/2010 14:49

Australia Shop - though there is a little cafe near us that also stocks a few essentials.

Indith · 06/01/2010 14:51

TimTams? I want a TimTam! I adore them!

I would also like to be in bed. Nobody IBU for staying in bed. I so look forward to my dcs being old enough for proper duvet days, they are just too young at the moment and they get bored the rotters.

RockBird · 06/01/2010 14:53

I don't see why not. I have been sitting on the sofa eating rubbish all day and I have no mitigating circumstances

Pikelit · 06/01/2010 14:53

You need no excuse. Run that bath and demand more pampering.

Indith · 06/01/2010 14:53

bunderburg ginger beer and dark tim tams

LadyPeterWimsey · 06/01/2010 14:57
Julezboo · 06/01/2010 15:06

Pikelit - theres no one home to demand it from till 6pm! But after my two fighting all morning I am enjoying the peace, bath is running!

LadyPeterWimsey if you do obtain some don't tell kids/DH, nothing worse than reaching into fridge to find an empty packet!

LadyPeterWimsey · 08/01/2010 08:42

My DH is the worst TimTam rustler - and he's not even got Australian blood to justify it.
