Snow falling and settling here in the SE, only a few inches at present though.

Have to get up early tomorrow to find out if school's open - wish I knew now so I could have a lie in

fruitshootsandheaves · 05/01/2010 21:32

No snow here. Suffolk/Essex border

Don't want snow as I have to travel tomorrow.

shockers · 05/01/2010 21:33

Apparently the SE is getting all the snow tomorrow
We had some today (NW) and had a fab time with the children

Heqet · 05/01/2010 21:35

at least 10 inches here! Must be! (Not that I've measured, but it looks loads!) Trapped in the house. temp below zero. This afternoon the kids were going out to build snowmen but coming back in after 10 minutes because it's too cold. Running out of food and about to go into emergency tin stash in loft (the girl scout in me was prepared ). heating on full blast and still icy.

I curse the snow. Each and every flake of it.

Maleeka · 05/01/2010 21:40

My other half is busy tracking the snow on his laptop and apperently there is snow falling in Croydon which we are about 10 mins away from, but none here yet.

He keeps running to the door and sulking back in

Personally i hate the bleedin white cold orrible stuff! Bah!!!

DaftApeth · 05/01/2010 21:42

What site is he using to track it maleeka?

Tiredmumno1 · 05/01/2010 21:52

I am in Wilts and we have had a bit so far but are expecting a lot tonight. I got a big shop in quickly when I heard as the cupboards were completly empty and there are 6 of us. Only prob is it is ds1(8) and ds2's (6) birthdays on Thursday and we have not got the presents yet (I was going tomorrow!). DH is at large Asda now on his way home from work in the hope of grabing some emergency presents.

So mixed feelings on one hand all the kids will love having snow and maybe having day off on the other hand b'day boys will be dissapointed that they will have to wait for the item they really wanted.... oh well we'll see

sparkle09 · 05/01/2010 21:54

im about 5 miles from southampton......

they have loads, chaos down there.......

here.....a slight dribble and a thin covering!!

not happy! although there was loads of snow near ds school so i think we have a day of tomorrow, yay

BelleDameSansMerci · 05/01/2010 21:55

Loads and loads of snow here (West Yorkshire on edge of Pennines). Completely snowed in. I also curse each and every flake. It's cold, cold, cold and I hate sodding snow!

BusyMummyof3 · 05/01/2010 21:58

Falling at a steady pace here for the past 30 mins or so. Have just over 1cm. We want more!!

Tiredmumno1 · 05/01/2010 21:59

Am looking at three feet of snow and some scary big icicles hanging off my house!!
Have to go to work tomorrow in it!

mum2all · 05/01/2010 22:41

Midway between edinburgh/glasgow - have had about 20-25inches in total some of which has now compacted and frozen into a sheet of ice. also have icicles hanging from house/trees - some at least a foot long. More snow/ice forcast for tomorrow, quite glad schools not back till next week as can't get car out of drive, far less the mile trek to main road
