No bin collection today because of the snow by the looks of it!

Guess I'll have to keep it all till next week now!

Or leave it where it is. After all, it's covered in a pretty layer of snow ;)

You'll be glad your not in South Beds Golden we've had one bin collection (normal waste) since 16 Dec , and no recycling collection at all. The first one for a month was due today, and yes... we've had snow again.

It was my Ds birthday the 15th Dec, so not only do we have all the recycling from Xmas but all the present boxes from his birthday as well.

All the recycling we cannot fit in the bin ( we've filled the garden waste bin with recycling too) is now residing in black bags in the playhouse at the bottom of the garden until we can get it collected or to the dump.

With snow forecast here till early next week there's no way our bins are going to be emptied anytime soon.

Oooh, I can imagine how much rubbish that must be as DD was born on the 17th Dec!!

Luckily, this is our first missed collection so far.

PigletMania, I was near Emerson Valley yesterday, at Morrisons and that really cheap shop that sells garden stuff, sweets and toys...

Cant get out of our village now, so much snow! The school closed at lunchtime and the kids are all out snowballing now.

Really need to get to John Lewis though and take an Xmas present back!

Now we've found each other we should organise a meet-up...once the snow is gone of course

All you people wishing for snow are loons! Its NOT fun its FREEZING cold and horrible. And makes getting out and about virtually impossible. I want it to hurry up and melt already

Thats right, Poundstretcher - didn't it used to be called something else and then changed to Poundstretcher? Its great for tupperwares and baking trays (sad).

And is 360 what used to be Gambados? Luckily mine have grown out of the birthday party at Gambados now that used to make me groan when i opened the invite. Now its always Quazar at that place behind Toys R Us!

360 is Gambados, yes. They've ditched the trampolines upstairs now and installed 360 Street instead. They have a Pizzaria, a dress up shop, a supermarket and a vets and an area to build with Lego too.

That sounds better, always thought the trampolines were a waste of time with only one child on at a time etc. DS2 has just turned 3 so still a bit young, but I'll perhaps take him in the summer.

Ooh and there's an outside bit now with an enormous sandpit and pedal boats (Mummy or Daddy does the pedaling and all the kids get life jackets)!

My DS loves it and he's not quite 3 yet. We've been going for a year now.

Ooo does he just go off in that big cage bit in the middle on his own? Not sure my DS2 would want to gon on his own and i'd rather not have to go with him. Would rather sit and have a coffee.

So how's it looking in MK now then? Is my school likely to be open tomorrow? We had loads more snow here during the day (20 min drive from MK cemntre).

LOL! Wish I had spotted this thread last night when I was pathetically excited about the snow and had to wake DCs up to share my excitement (as DH was distinctly underwhelmed....)!

I am in village on outskirts of MK too - between J13 and J14 of M1

cupofteaplease it's been snowing heavily here this afternoon but there seems to be a lull now. Apparently expecting up to 4" overnight. East Coast will get worst of it tonight and will spread across to West Bucks by midday tomorrow.

I really did not think that this thread would be very popular mabey about 10 replies i am really surprised and It was started in good humour, but starting to get fed up of the snow now as the public transport is very iffy in MK when there is just a molecule of snow well its iffy anyway

I agree pigletmania- I never knew there were so many MNers near MK!

I am pretty convinced i am the only one in my village, but to know there is a MNer in the next village is both nice and scary! (No offence ILoveTiffany!)
