Dirty spoons DO NOT get put away with the clean ones, ALL MIXED UP together. Cos obviously the washing up fairy will find them anyway!

My DH seems to think our dishwasher came with a magic chute from the worktop as he only ever leaves plates "on top" of the washer, never puts them inside

The worktop above a dishwasher is magic. You leave the plates there and they magically drift downwards using osmosis, through the worktop and into the correct slot when you're not looking. Either that or the dishwasher fairy (aka wife) moves them for you

I put my teenage daughter's dirty breakfast dishes in her school bag the other day. Heh heh. that'll larn her.

That's the one. The less said about the washing being left in front of the washing machine rather than in it, with an actual load, the better. Specially as DH is working away during the week so I get to find these little 'gifts' after he's fled the county back to Spider Baby land.

Even good ol' Dougal would have more sense....
