I gave my husband a pass to meet his mate at the pub last night at 10.30pm. He said he wouldn't be out long but I wasn't too fussed as don't really control what he gets up to.

We've got 2 under 4 and I am 35 weeks pregnant so wasn't bothered about staying up so took myself off to bed at 11.30pm

DD2 woke me up at 12.30 and took ages to settle. I expected H home at about 1am. Heard him roll in at 2am with our neighbour and another bloke I'd never met before; they were really noisy and kept me awake until they all sodded off at 4am. Then H came to bed and snored for the next 3 hours until the kids woke up me up at 7am.

I got up and found they have drunk all the rest of the Sloe Gin I slaved over to make this year - we had half a bottle left after giving the rest as gifts.

He is still in bed and I refuse to wake him up as I'm not talking to him this morning. I feel as if he was really inconsiderate and selfish last night and I started 2010 in a foul mood.

Am I being unreasonable to have expected them to go to my neighbours house who has no kids and no 35 week pregnant wife in need of sleep.

Is is unreasonable of me to shout at him when he gets up or am I being a party pooper?? I'm just so tired.

indeedy but someone else is talking about horsey doovers- sounds more well equine...

WTF is all the nastiness about?

SM I don't think anyone suggested that op's dh was an emotional abuser or that she should leave him etc etc... I think the worst that was said was that he was an inconsiderate pig last night. Even the most angelic of people can behave inconsiderately occasionally.

And the thread title states that the op is 'annoyed' with him, not about to pack her bags / call women aid / go for relate counselling.

Not every thread started in aibu is intended to be about something very serious and worthy. Sometimes people come on here to let off steam about the small irritations in life.

You gave your opinion that op was being unreasonable quite early on in the thread. So why insist on coming back repeatedly, getting more and more unpleasant about it?

Sheesh! Rant over.

OP, YABabitU as it was nye, and he will no doubt make it up to you over the next few weeks with lots of lovely lie ins. When the new baby arrives, he will be sleep deprived too don't forget! But I do think he could've been more gracious about the whole thing when he got up this morning, especially as you were so calm and polite.

MrsSawdust · 01/01/2010 22:01

scottishmummy · 01/01/2010 23:25

marinade your tofu overnight makes it taste delicious and no so bland
tofu
chopped garlic
fresh chilli
chopped coriander
sesame oil
soy sauce

ijustwanttoaskaquestion · 02/01/2010 11:40

oh that sounds nice SM, ive never had tofu outside of a chinese resturant to be honest - but that does sound nice - it has a funny texture though doesn't it. I don't tend to do meat replacements, i am allergic to quorn but thats horrid anyway. Am wondering if im not quite willing to offer oral sex for a plate of tofu

ijustwanttoaskaquestion · 02/01/2010 11:42

To go back to the OP, what you should have done was this: got up, wondered about obviously pregnant - made a cup of tea, stalked back up the stairs - your "guests" would defo have left and probably sent you flowers!!

Pikelit · 02/01/2010 11:55

I'd have been pissed off. All the more so when you exist in a very tolerant place where people come and go without interrogations. It really isn't rocket science to work out that the best house to come back to for hours of loud Bollox Talk isn't the one containing a heavily pregnant wife and two small children. It's simple courtesy surely? Not evidence of "Princess" anything. Of course they will drink too. But finishing off all the sloe gin takes the piss!
