Especially as the parents have refused permission and they have been having a street party since 8pm screaming and shouting almost constantly. I suspect a bit of underage drinking but at the 17/18 borderline would be forgivable if they werent smashing the bottles all over the pavement and street. These are the same shits who have been vanidlising cars and knocking down the kids snow men. Not impressed, especially as i have been trying to get ds to bed since 7.30pm and they are keeping him up. A house party on NYE is reasonable this is not.

I expect the police will end up being called. they did when the daughters threw a house warming party 2 years ago. They didnt have permission then either.

its a nice neighbourhood and people get on well with their neighbours generally - kinda of old school community type thing so it'll have to get really bad before the police are involved.
