To wipe DH with the mop if he walks on my freshly mopped floor with his dirty trainers on once more?!

The house is in post xmas mess and I've just managed to tidy and clean the kitchen/ diner I'm having 5 mins while the floor dries and he keeps walking on the clean floor to gather tools for putting things up in the girls bedrooms.

no, you aren't. shut him out or tell him to get the things NOW, and then he isn't allowed in again

I'm losing the will to live - 2 of my 3 DC's been ill, house a mess, DH doing nothing (except contributing to mess) AAAAAARGH!!

YANBU at all.

You obviously haven't mastered the 'Don't you dare walk there, I have just mopped the floor' look yet. Even my cat daren't walk on my floor untill it's dry

Whilst you are practising this look, yes it's perfectly acceptable to mop him. Infact I think it's reccommened by the mental health experts

happilyeverafter · 29/12/2009 16:41

YANBU I would mop him with the broom end vigorously

Geepers · 29/12/2009 16:45

No-one in my house would dare walk on my freshly mopped floors until they are dry. They would face an almost certain death, especially if they had trainers on.
I vote that you beat him with the soggy end of your mop.
