to expect XP to pick up DD for a while and take her with him today?

XP had DD yesterday (his contact day) and took her to see his family.

He wanted to bring her back later than usual, which was fine.

I started feeling like crap on Xmas day, so welcomed the break yesterday.(I have the mother of colds, you know the ones where your nose drips like a tap, you feel freezing cold one minute, then boiling hot, I can't look down in case my tickly nose starts streaming again, I feel sick and my eyes itch and water constantly, as well as my whole head feeling like it's a raging inferno. ) I spent part of the day in bed, and managed to get some housework done too.

I went to bed last night, feeling really rough, my face is so sore, I put some happinose on my nose and it smarted so bad, but hoped I would feel better today. I had 2 hot toddy's last night, as well as a Lemsip.

Got up this morning to DD's delightful wake up chatter, and I felt ok for about an hour, not great but ok.

Within an hour, the hot flushes start up, my nose is streaming and my eyes are sore and red, not to mention my rudolph nose and severely chapped lips.

I called XP to ask him if he could help because I was feeling so rough, he came for an hour, played with DD, then said he had to go but refuses to take DD with him.

I asked him if he could put off what he was doing because I am struggling to look after DD, who is into everything until tomorrow.

He says No. He wont say what it is he is doing, but FGS he whinges about not seeing DD enough, and now when I need some help, he scarpers. Seems I always draw the bloody short straw. He said he would have stopped for longer, if I hadn't got so angry with him about the fact he has to go. Awww bless
I don't believe him. He couldn't wait to go!!

maybe he really couldn't have her - unsuitable/wrong timing etc

Hope you feel better soon.

Maybe I am just pissed off, because I never ask him for anything extra, in fact this is the first time, and he just says No.

It isn't really a good time for me either, and the timing is pretty crap for me too, but like I said, I have to look after her no matter what else is going on.

Honestly, I think if I was seriously ill, he would say No, if it was a toss up between looking after DD or going gambling or to the pub.
