then whinge about not wanting to eat turkey leftovers today.

We are 2 adults and 2 under 4's, one of whom has been off her food for a few days.
We had a mahoosive turkey.
We ate precisely one breast.
WTF does he think I am going to do with the rest if he doesn't want anymore

(Yes, I will make some stock and freeze it all, but that's not the point dammit!)

My dh insisted on goose and is adamant we're having goose curry tonight

JackTheHallsWithBauersOfHolly · 26/12/2009 10:41

I don't want anymore turkey, I hate the bloody stuff! WSe normally have beef, or lamb, or pheasant, as I really don't like turkey, but I suffered as he asked so nicely, and it was ok, but I did say he was going to be eating it for awhile as I don't want to!

She is a bit better, ate 3 slices of toast for breakfast! but I have stomach cramps and dodgy tummy today and DD1 is compaining of tummy pain so I think she has had a bug. Turns out DH's mate from work has 2 ds's the same ages and they have been abd for a week or so as well with dodgy bellies. SO not as worried today.

buy small turkeys, not mahoosive ones

the only place a turkey should be on boxing day is in the bin.

Soup. Yum.

We had beef by popular request and it was horrid (special offer at Asda but v disappointing). Next year I would like to have goat's cheese tart and salad or nice fillet steak and potato dauphinoise. I have 364 days to plan it

We had fillet steak this year - it was fab.

JackTheHallsWithBauersOfHolly · 26/12/2009 13:55

We didn't buy a turkey, DH was offered it by a friend for free.
I said no, we didn't need it as last year we got one, jointed it and froze it and never ate it.
He said yes instead.

Since it was free YABU to complain at all!

Can you make something up & take it to homeless shelter?
