Ha ha....I survived with the help of lots of red wine...with turkey...but none of them cared.

Wellmy aprents are somuch like the Royle family that they never watch it as they see it as a reality TV show.

We had dinner at my mum's yesterday, and my family were in fine form - mum sloshed by 5, my children would up to screaming pitch by my sister, dogs chewing bones under the table as we ate dinner, whole family bickering about where to sit, leftover food fight in the kitchen, sister squirting everyone with water pistols, and at 6 o' clock, a family row about who had the last squirt of mayonaise.

Nobody thanks anyone else for presents, nobody knows who got them what, children under 12 are expected to ignore their dinner and eat selection boxes instead, and making vom noises at sprouts is de rigour.

I do love my family. Christmas would be dull without them.
