Sprouts are lush!

Did them with chorizo this year but bacon and almond sounds nice.

echt · 25/12/2009 20:46

Love those sprouts, especially with gravy. They're not in season at the moment here in Oz, though I'll bet there are imported ones somewhere.

I'd still be exercised as to how to fit them into yesterday's Christmas dinner of oysters, crayfish and shrimps. Not that it stopped us from following all that with home-made Christmas pud and custard.

Moresproutsplease · 25/12/2009 21:55

Sprouts are yummy. They give me wind though.

GoddessRidingSantasSleigh · 25/12/2009 22:00

GoddessRidingSantasSleigh · 25/12/2009 22:00

CuppaTeaJanice · 25/12/2009 22:03

Sprouts are my favourite vegetable.

I eat them throughout the year. Sometimes I have just sprouts for dinner - a whole plate of them.

Maleeka · 25/12/2009 22:13

Must buck the trend here and say EWWWWWW!

Just got back from inlaws and the safety of my trump free house! My OH would eat them every day if i cooked them, which i dont cos i dont like em and he cant be arsed to

CardyMow · 26/12/2009 00:08

YABVVVVVU! Sprouts are the droppings of the devil!!!

ThumbleBells · 26/12/2009 00:10

I love them too and DH likes them; best of all, DS got stuck into them yesterday in a big way (he's just 2) and he's quite fussy about veg. Hurrah! Our guinea pig is pretty keen on the outer leaves as well so Full House!

ThumbleBells · 26/12/2009 00:12

echt, we found sprouts easily in Coles but I admit I don't know where they came from. But then we had a goose traditional Christmas dinner in the evening - luckily it had cooled down enough by then (had prawns and cold turkey for lunch).

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 26/12/2009 11:32

And the only redeeming feature of having the inlaws here all day ......another turkey dinner with LOADS of sprouts!!!!!!

Lubyloo · 26/12/2009 11:46

I love them - especially cold. For sprout lovers and haters alike try this

dollishillbilly · 26/12/2009 12:57

YABU! Sprouts taste like farts.

I can never understand these tips to cook sprouts with almond, bacon, cream etc.
I'm sure they will disguise the taste, but I'd rather have leeks or cabbage cooked in these things.

mumblecrumble · 26/12/2009 13:12

Sprouts taste delicous and I love their musical effect. In fact... we were commetning thata positive outcome of PIL being snowed in and eing on our own for Xmas was that we could tRUMPety TRUMP all afternoon....

Notalone · 26/12/2009 14:55

Lubyloo - love it! That game is hilarious

katnkittens · 26/12/2009 15:30

Yummmmmmmm I love them but it seems I am the only one in my household. None of my 3 DCs like them and DH isnt keen although will eat them covered in gravy!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 26/12/2009 15:37

Just had another plateful YUM YUM My mate who sadly died last Christmas hated sprouts and used to call them "bogey balls" much to mu DC's amusement.

MayorNaze · 26/12/2009 15:39
