Are you working in the same office as my dh??

purplepeony · 24/12/2009 15:55

she's gone.....

TinselianAstra · 24/12/2009 15:58

How rude!

I just had a little IM from my boss (he works in a different office to me so we do a lot of communicating by MSN-equivalent). The exchange went:

Boss: hi there
Me: hi
Boss: you at work
Me: nope
Boss: good
and carried on from there

SecretSantasNinjaChipmunk · 24/12/2009 16:02

and now i'm home, on the sofa watching the itv panto and eating frazzles. life is good!

well mine is still at work such a mean boss, the rest of the staff have all gone home and they have nothing to do

SecretSantasNinjaChipmunk · 24/12/2009 16:06

boo to their boss. i think 4pm should be the latest cut off for leaving work on a day like today. all i did all day wasa bit of photocopying and surfed the internet! i may as well have gone home after half and hour. i suggest they go on strike.

SecretSantasNinjaChipmunk · 24/12/2009 16:09

nellie12 · 24/12/2009 16:11

nhs there you go you dont feel so bad now do you?

SecretSantasNinjaChipmunk · 24/12/2009 16:17

i work in a hospice although not on the wards. i totally appreciate what some people do, they can be very selfless. does he have a long shift? is there a chance he might be home for part of xmas?

OP posts:
nellie12 · 24/12/2009 16:25

yeah he should be leaving at 3 so hopefully he's not delayed too much. If you work in a hospice that explains the lack of sympathy over getting off xmas eve from your boss, its usually the busiest time of year. Sadly.

lisad123wantsherquoteinDM · 24/12/2009 16:33

he works in IT, hardly life saving work, and his still there!!

SecretSantasNinjaChipmunk · 24/12/2009 16:39

i know but i work in the retail department! we look after the charity shops, so also hardly life saving work here either! lets hope he'll be home in time for your christmas dinner.
