Arghhh......

I have bought all the pressies etc for xmas as dh doesn't like doing it. A few weeks ago dh suggested he gets an extra pressies for each of the dc so I said that would be great... He picked up a little t-shirt for our dd who is 4 weeks old, yesterday he texted me and asked me to get a cd for my ds (10) , despite him being in town and today he has picked up his dd (14) and apparently discussed her present, she doesn't want a cd so he gave her £10 a few mins ago instead!

Arghhh.... I think He shouldn't have discussed it with her and just got her something and wrapped it for xmas day, I've told him to take it back and get something, they are in town now,... Aibu??

i have no idea ...

what is the problem? That your DH told her what he had bought?

It isn't possible to take the money back. Your dh gave the money to his dd so now it's hers.

I'm annoyed that he made such a bit deal about wanting to do this, bought 1 pressies, asked me to get another and then just gave her a tenner, not even on xmas day! I don't have a problem giving her money but think that if its for xmas ir should be on xmas day with her other pressies....

Not worth stressing about IMO. Let it go.

She's 14, i'm sure she would rather have the cash, a present would have been nice but at least its one less thing to wrap (saves paper).

Dh has given his son (16) his x-mas present a few weeks ago as he wanted a cheque to send off for his prov driving license, he's old enough to understand that he won't have anything to open on x-mas day, st that age they are not really bothered.
